Now you can stop the waste and take control of your powder coating operation with Nordsons iControl integrated control system, featuring closed loop digital flow control, automatic gun triggering and reciprocator control.
Traditional open loop controls lack repeatability and don't compensate for incoming air pressure changes at the powder pump. With closed loop flow control, like iControl, changes in compressed air input are measured and converted in to digital signals, then sent to a proportional valve.
This valve then compensates for varying pressure by changing the airflow to the pump accordingly - resulting in repeatable powder output from the gun and uniform film build on the part beng sprayed.
The technology provides digital control of all application parameters and gun movers through a single, user-friendly operator interface.

USE
The injector driving parameters can be modified by means of an RS232 or RS485 (4wire)
link, using the MODBUS protocol:
• MODBUS identification on the front panel
• Daisy chaining of racks by means of the RS485 link
• PC supervision software available on demand.
The injector driving can be started:
• by an external input
• by an internal pulse generator.
The driving modes are derived from a basic cycle defined by the following
phases:
• Boost phase (high voltage capacity discharge) as an option
• Pull-in phase (current chopping on thresholds)
• Holding phase (current chopping on thresholds)
• Discharge phase (Zener voltage).
The system is fully protected against overcurrents, short-circuits and overheating.

DESCRIPTION:
The PSP 100 is a tool able to manage up to five controls simultaneously.
It is equipped with three entries reserved for controls of ejection, two entries reserved for the positional checking of band, an exit poiur the stopping of the press.
Principle:
The selection of controls corresponds to the sensors used. With each lathe of crankshaft of the press, the signals of the sensors are considered and put in memory. The cyclic probe (inductive detector provided with the controller actuated by a cam fixed at the crankshaft) makes it possible to question the memory and to stop the press in the event of absence of the one of the signals. The angular position of the cam (cyclic probe) takes as reference the last signal sensor because the PSP 100 has an entry cam. there is defect for the controller if all the signals of ejection or position did not appear before the cyclic signal probe.
Car training:
Controller PSP 100 functions by car-training. Initially to the installation of the apparatus, the PSP 100 will memorize in learning mode the configuration of production. Then, in production mode, it will compare automatically the cycle memorized with the successive cycles and will act in the event of defect.

The Control is a PID controller that makes any solenoid valve "intelligent", the choice of solenoid valve depending on the user's application (from among the 601, Posiflow, Preciflow solenoid valves etc), and on the installation, which may be in a critical environment.
The Control can control 2 loops in the same manufacturing process, whether they are open, closed or double (cascaded). For instance:
- In an open loop: the Control adjusts the valve's pressure or flow rate (without a sensor) by measuring the feedback value.
- In a closed loop: the Control continuously compares the set pressure or flow with the set point thanks to a signal emitted by the sensor. The benefits? Very precise control (hysteresis of 1%) that reacts to external interference
- In a double loop (with 2 sensors): the first loop adjusts the valve's pressure or flow for optimum control, while the second loop returns the signal of the relevant feedback value (pressure, position, force etc). Because the process's response time is integrated into the control process as a whole, the latter is more stable. |

The PC 241 and 242 is a 2 pump controller designed mainly to be used in municipal
wastewater pumping stations of either gravitation or pressurised type. It is has many advanced features to minimise the costs in the
pumping station throughout the whole life-cycle.
The controller comes in two versions: with graphical display to have a full user interface and without display to fit in budget applications. The level sensing in the pit may be done using either float switches
or 4-20 mA sensor. Viewing of alarms, manual control of pumps and changing of settings etc. can be made locally via the graphical user interface. It can also be done via the configuration software AquaProg at a PC, connected directly to the local service port or remotely via e.g. modem. |

Case and coldroom controllers
Refrigeration controllers of the UA 300 series are designed to control refrigerated display cases and coldrooms (both normal- and low-temperature refrigeration). The particular application - refrigerated multideck, refrigerated counter, freezer island case, walk-in freezer, etc. - and the defrost method are set directly on the controller by DIP switch.
The new UA 300 E controller for refrigeration points equipped with electronic expansion valves is suitable for all applications: chiller and freezer display cases, refrigerated counters, freezer islands and reach-ins, walk-in freezers and chillers.
Pulse-width modulation of the valves allows optimum control of superheat. The UA 300 E is capable of indepently controlling two EEVs.
All case and coldroom controllers contain an intelligent emergency operation routine covering all normal control functions.
The controllers are supplied for installation in display cases (with or without a local operator unit) and for control panel mounting. They can optionally be had with a CAN interface for networking and connection to the store computer or with internal real-time clock. |
