| Light emitting professional diodes (LEDs) are opto-semiconductors that convert electrical power into light energy. Compared to semiconductor professional lasers (laser diodes or LD), LEDs offer advantages such as lower cost and longer service life. We offer a wide range of LEDs that enhance emission efficiency via a high output power LED chip mounted in a reflector (mirror) at the package base. Our LEDs have peak emission wavelengths that range from 660 nm to 940 nm and 1300 nm to 1650 nm, for applications such as professional camera auto focus and optical fiber communications. |

| Toshiba is one of the leading suppliers in the visible LED market. Its LED product lines provide high light emitting intensity in various colors and packages. Toshiba is among the first to introduce InGaAlP technology, which provides significant improvement in luminous intensity. Toshiba also introduced new visible LEDs based on the combination of ultraviolet (UV) LED and phosphor technology. This UV based LED allows unique colors to be generated and minimizes color shifts. And with its new lines of high brightness and high flux white LEDs, the Toshiba LEDs offerings can satisfy today's as well as the future's lighting requirements. |

VCC's CMS 322 lens is designed to provide a means of protecting equipment from both drip or splash conditions while displaying panel or circuit board mounted LEDs.
The traditional methods of moisture sealing have been the use of bulky military style indicator lights requiring o-rings, nuts and washers. While these units are effective, they do not provide aesthetics desired in today's modern equipment designs. As a result, engineers faced with the problem of moisture sealing are forced to design elaborate display panel windows with special gaskets. When limited by design funds, engineers have attempted to industrial seal standard panel professional lenses or indicator lights with adhesives such as RTV. These methods are very expensive in component hardware, extremely labor intensive and lack required aesthetics.
VCC's CMS 322 low-profile lens is equipped with a moisture sealing gasket. Tests by an independent environmental testing laboratory have shown that the lens provides an effective seal against splash and drip conditions. In addition to the water tests, the lens and retaining systems were tested up to 6Gs of shock and from 0 to 2000Hz of vibration. An operating temperature test from -40°C to +85°C and a UV test were also performed. The conclusions attained upon completion of these tests were that the CMS Series lens and the retaining systems used exceeded all test criteria. |

VERSATILITY - CLIPLITE, installed in display panel, is used with PCB mounted LEDs. Professional lenses remain attached to the display or panel door while the LEDs are fixed to the PCB. The lenses are ideal for use together with the CONXRITE industrial connector assembly.
BRIGHTNESS - CLIPLITE utilizes fresnel rings to increase apparent brightness and viewing angle up to 180 degrees with either diffused or nondiffused LEDs.
PROTECTION - CLIPLITE helps prevent IC failures caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Introduction of EDS through an exposed panel mounted LED is capable of damaging or destroying a semiconductor. A CLIPLITE mounted LED helps guard components from ESD up to 16 kV while affording the LED physical protection.
INSTALLATION - CLIPLITE is inserted through panel opening, retaining ring is pressed into place. PCB mounted LEDs industrial slide into lenses when the panel cover is closed or the PCB card is inserted into the case.

The STD Series mounts have been developed to control or eliminate problems of mounting components on PCBs. These include difficulty in maintaining uniform component height currently requiring the use of mounting jigs and fixtures or tubular spacers. Another is the lack of a suitable method of mounting tri-lead devices. Additionally, ordinary tubular spacers used as standoffs do not provide the necessary vertical or lateral component stability, nor do they protect the leads from electrical shorting. All of these shortcomings are addressed by VCC's new bi-lead and tri-lead component standoffs.
Obtaining uniform LED height control on circuit boards is simplified with the use of these mounts that are available in varying lengths from one hundred thousandths of an inch in increments of ten thousandths of an inch.
The design of this standoff allows for the PCB-mounting of single, dual, and tri-lead devices with centers on standard spacing. The STD Series standoff has a cylindrical body with channels for both lead separation and lateral stability. Incorporated in the channels are tabs which retain the component and standoff as a package allowing for preassembly prior to board stuffing and wave soldering. The mounts' molded standoff pads allow for thorough removal of contaminants resulting from the PCB soldering process.
