The real-time process database is entirely distributed to the controllers. These are functionally complete and able to perform logic control, regulatory control and advanced calculations. This ensures that all processing and control can be performed on the spot, that is, data does not have to be sent elsewhere for processing and return of the result.
Consequently, the control system can be structured according to the process requirements without restrictions imposed by limitations in the control system. The result is a "clean" structure with a high degree of integrity.

DRC 1210
The control generation DRC 1210
With the new DRC 1210 DESMA is providing an exceptionally effective control system which safely controls very complex machines and processes, but which remains simple to use. From closed-loop control of the clamping unit movements and of the complete injection process, passing on to comprehensive intermediate stop functions of core lifter movements, a modem for telediagnosis and data storage on hard disk or disk drive are equally standard!
Performance features
* Efficient PC-control with 6,5" colour display
* Exceptional equipment in this control category
* Clear and easy to understand user prompt
* Dynamic auto-optimization of temperature controllers
* Real-time operating system, multitasking, telediagnosis via modem
* optionally cure time optimization (DESCURE), DESMA-SPC, networking with TIG system

Eaton's Fusion Integrated Machine Controller has advanced features, including a five-preset high speed counter with prewarn, a totalizer with preset, a batch counter with preset and a ratemeter (tachometer) with high and low setpoints. Unique to the count control world, the Fusion has five output relays, along with two transistors and two analog setpoint or follower outputs. Its ten available parameter sets of pre-loaded values are useful as recipes, for job-stacking or for a variety of application-specific purposes.
The Fusion has a multi-line alphanumeric display which can be programmed to show text messages, logic-generated prompts, alarms and machine status. Up to eight screens can be shown or optionally locked out.
With its ladder logic, the Fusion is actually a 26 I/O controller, making it a complete control for many machines and processes, integrating the functions of external timers, pushbuttons, power supplies, indicating lights, control relays and other components in a single box.
