The mining industry is normally operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in order to make an acceptable return on the high capital investments. Therefore it is of utmost importance that haul trucks are available for usage. Repair and maintenance, daily checks of oil, water and tyres are reducing the technical availability of haul trucks. The stops for safety reasons during slippery weather of the current large haul trucks have a considerable negative influence on the usage. The fact that ETF trucks can operate under slippery conditions brings already an increase in usage of 8 %. On top of this comes the savings due to hot seat shift change. This means that the operators don't have to carry out any checks during shift change. On average this saves 20 minutes per shift i.e. one hour per day. (4 %) In the downtime for maintenance it will pay off that ETF trucks don't need any oil changes!

Specifically designed for high-volume surface mining, the MT 3000 features a straight-rail design that eliminates sources of stress concentration. No bending, no breaking. Prepare for a long life of top performance.
ETF developed a new and innovative Road Train configuration for Off-Highway use.
The concept works the same as railway trains: the Road Train can be used in two directions (forward and reverse) like a normal train. This enables the use in narrow cause ways.
The new ETF Road Train design opens the way for new transportation concepts in mining areas where now only Large Haul Trucks are operating. Payloads of 815 metric tons and more can be realised.
Compact enough to get round to the rear of houses/buildings. Low ground bearing pressure – can work in wet ground where wheeled machines would normally be immobilised.
