The DuraCOR rugged mobile computers are modular in their internal architecture and construction. A high integration system carrier board accepts two PC/104+ stacks; typically one is dedicated to the selected CPU. The other stack provides expansion for various peripheral boards.
Depending on the complexity of the system, three standard enclosure form-factors are available, LL being the smallest with two boards expansion, LH and LL can support up to four expansion boards. A shock-resistant HARD DISK (50 GB max) with extended temperature range can be added to any configuration.

The PHL8212 is a ruggedized terminal communicating via Bluetooth and WLAN. This device is equipped with an integrated 1D scan engine and a full color 3.5” TFT display. The full keypad enables easy data entry.
The PHL8212 is part of the PHL8000 series consisting of ruggedized PDA-like terminals, equipped with Windows CE 5.0. All terminals in this range have several wireless communication options. WLAN and Bluetooth are standard available on the PHL8000 series. Two models are also equipped with GPRS and EDGE. Additional, the serial connector provides the option to use a communication cable.
The PHL8000 series is sealed up to IP 65 standards and withstand drops of up to 1.5 meter onto concrete. The physical design of these terminals offers a convenient balance for user operation with a graphic LCD display and keypad with backlight, providing excellent viewing in dim or bright lighting.
