From now on there is a new Epson professional robot professional control software available. The new Epson RC version is not only a new relaes of Epson powerful robot control software, but comes along with a bulk of new and helpful features.
One of the mostimportant improvements is, that the new software supports a french GUI. Beside German and english the new software now supports all major languages in Europe.

act/weld enables the user to graphically program a robot from a virtual scene and qualified splicer conditions. The parts or assemblies to be welded, together with the tooling, are imported from a 3D CAD system via native or neutral formats (STEP and IGES). A specific simulator enables users to take into account all controller parameters and to simulate the movements of the robot on the screen.
act/weld integrates welder manufacturers know-how together with programming and simulation tools that enable the user to create his programs optimally, and even to validate the design of a tooling or to study a cell layout.
A post-processor specifically adapted to the controller allows the generation of the programs executed with act/weld in robot language. The integration of functions specific to cell and part-program sizing enables the user to take into account all automatic error correction functions relative to industrial robots (shifting of trajectories via sensing of joint follow-up, professional laser professional camera…) and it is possible to upload the modified programs in the robot in order to optimize programming.

Network spanning OPC communication without DCOM - transparent and reliable
DCOM's Security settings are the number 1 problem in network spanning OPC communication. Configuration is anything but simple and often very time-consuming.
OPCpipe puts an end to this problem since it enables network spanning OPC communication WITHOUT DCOM.
Via TCP/IP OPCpipe tunnels the data exchanged between client and server. The OPC communication is converted into a "normal" TCP/IP communication, transmitted via the network, and then converted back into an OPC communication on the target computer.
This enables communication across professional firewall boundaries or domains - completely without DCOM.
