The new Tesla Meter / Gauss Meter KOSHAVA 5 combines the functionality, stability and precision of high-quality desktop units in a portable hand instrument.
At the development of the Tesla Meters / Gauss Meters KOSHAVA 5 great value was paid to easy and intuitive use of the device. The Tesla Meter is comfortably and simply operable by English and German menu driven with 4 keys.
For every user the right measurement unit indication:
Depending of which kind of use and in which country of use the user prefer the different units Gauss, Tesla, A/cm, kA/m or Oersted. Over the menu the user can select his preferred unit and he can save time for the annoying conversions.
Always the optimal measurement range: To be able to reach the optimal resolution always, the Tesla Meter /
Gauss Meter KOSHAVA 5 is equipped with 4 measurement ranges (2mT, 20 mT, 200mT, 2T) The optimal measurement range can be either adjusted manually or setup automatically by using the Auto
Ranging function.
Min / Max detection (Peak detection): The Teslameter /Gaussmeter shows the negative and positive peak value in bottom area of the display. By pressing a key the peak values can be set to zero.
Precise in all measurement ranges: In opposite to many other hall sensor based units at our Magnetometer KOSHAVA 5 each probe is measured in each range and each probe gets an individual table with linearization and calibration information. At the first start with a new probe the Tesla / Gauss Meter reads the calibration information and use this for the accurate calculations of the measure values.

PDA-based magnetometer
A new magnetometer was presented by Narda Safety Test Solutions at Arbeitsschutz aktuell 2008. The THM1176-PDA device, which consists of a high-performance PDA and a precision, non-directional probe connected via USB, can be used as a stand-alone hand-held unit or in conjunction with a PC. It measures magnetic fields having flux densities of up to 20 Tesla in the frequency range from 0 Hz to 1 kHz.
The THM1176-PDA can be used anywhere where high magnetic field strengths need to be measured and monitored: on scientific and medical equipment, such as magnetic resonance tomographs; in industry on equipment for smelting metals, or on transformer stations and large-scale electric motor drives, such as railroad locomotives.
The technical advantages of the new magnetometer are:
• Non-directional measurement thanks to isotropic, 3-axis Hall-effect probe, so the result is independent of the probe direction relative to the field
• very small sensor area gives pinpoint accuracy when measuring strong, non-homogeneous fields
• Simple operation using the PDA touch screen or MS-Windows PC software (everything is included in the package)
THM1176-PDA is a product of the Swiss company METROLAB Instruments SA, the leading supplier of precision Tesla-meters for high magnetic field strengths. It extends the program of test equipment for magnetic fields offered by Narda Safety Test Solutions to cover the low frequency range right down to DC fields.

With the INPHYNIX probe M magnetometer, new hands-on sessions based on magnetic induction are open.
Previous difficult and sensitive phenomena, linked to magnetic field, can be now accurately measured. As simple example : the characterization of B circulation around electrical line charged with only 100mA.
The probe M is more sensitive ( ten times more) than previous oldest Hall probe.
This dual axis sensor has very large bandwidth and is perfectly adapted to be daily used by students.
With additional INPHYNIX tools, like ISOFLUX or ABS (Ampère, Biot & Savart), you got in hands turn key solution with all educational equipments to create or improve more practice sessions with better sensitivity and accurate measurements. These sessions will perfectly follow up and supplement the theoretical courses of physics, electronic and math ( for Licence, Master, engineer’s schools…).

Kipp & Zonen introduces a new bench-mark in net radiometry. The CNR 4 is the only instrument available that combines four sensors into one housing, complies with the World Meteorological Organisation standard ‘Good Quality’ and has an integrated ventilation unit.
CNR 4 consists of a pair of pyranometers and a pair of pyrgeometers. One set facing upward and one set facing downward. Together they measure the energy balance between short-wave and long-wave (Far Infrared) radiation. CNR 4 is built on the legacy of the popular CNR 1, but is improved in almost every respect.
CNR 4’s unique design is very light weight with an integrated sun shield to reduce thermal effects on the measurements. The meniscus dome of the upper pyrgeometer gives significantly better long-wave measurements. The optional CNF 4 ventilation unit is a unique and efficient way to reduce dirt, precipitation, dew and frost on the sensors.
CNR 4 is the perfect choice for meteorological, hydrological and agricultural scientific research. Read more and see the specifications on www.kippzonen.com.

Kipp & Zonen is the expert in top level pyranometers with exceptional accuracy. In addition, we also have developed a functional solution for routine measurement of solar radiation; the SP Lite2. Instead of a thermopile, it uses a photodiode for consistent measurements.
SP Lite2 is designed for all-weather measurement of solar radiation. It has a specially shaped Teflon™ diffuser that gives very good directional response and is largely self-cleaning. The detector is a silicon photo-diode, so the spectral response is not as broad or flat as our CMP series pyranometers with thermopile detectors. The standard cable length is 5m with an option of 15m.
SP Lite2 is easy to use. It can be directly connected to voltmeter or data logger. Direct readout in Watts per square meter (W/m²) can be derived from the measured voltage divided by the calibration coefficient.
The photodiode detector has a limited spectral range of 0,4 to 1,1 µm. It is calibrated to see the whole spectrum. But very sensitive to fluctuations in weather. The main advantage of the SP Lite2 is the fast response time. The material warms up immediately, while a CMP pyranometer needs time to take up the surrounding temperature

X-Ray Fluorescence Gauges are used to measure coatings containing quantities of metal or heavy elements, on plastic or paper substrates. The sensor energy level is selected for the application, such that the photons striking the material cause it to fluoresce. The returned fluorescence energy provides the information necessary to precisely calculate the coatweight. This selective technique has significant advantages in simplicity of operation, accuracy, and reduced equipment costs.
The Model 105 and Model 107 X-Ray Fluorescence Gauges provide an accurate way to measure thin, high atomic number coatings on non-metallic films. By tuning the sensor to the required fluorescence energy, it is possible to detect thin coatings of Zinc, Iron Oxide, Silver, or a variety of other high atomic number coatings (see list for each gauge below). Typically the sensors can measure coatings in the range of 0 gsm to 25 gsm.
