Gobius is installed and ready to use in 30 minutes!
Gobius is the first level indicator in the world that measures the contents of tanks in stainless steel, steel, aluminum, plastic and fibre glass from the OUTSIDE. Gobius is reliable, regardless of the tanks size, shape, or amount of deposit on the inside of the tank wall. Level indication conducted from the outside of the tank means contact free measurement. The advantages of this is highly appreciated by the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, where demands on handling of corrosive and sterile liquids are very high.
Very easy to calibrate
No tanks look the same. There are always differences in e.g. size, construction, thickness and age. In order to compensate for these differences you have to calibrate the tank before you start to use your Gobius. However, the calibration only takes a few seconds, all you need to do is to press a button while the tank is full or empty.
The Gobius Technology (patented)
Level indicator Gobius is based on our innovative Gobius Technology, best described as knock and listen. Every sensor that is placed onto the tank wall consists of a shaker and an accelerometer. When the shaker creates a vibration in the tank wall, the accelerator measures the size of the vibration and passes the data on to the control unit. Each sensor is only 26 mm high with a diameter of 70 mm.
Complete system
On the sensors there are strips of tape that are provided to attach the sensors directly onto the surface of your tank. All necessary cables and plugs needed to connect the sensors and panel with the control unit and to external systems are included.

The APM 3DLevelScanner is an innovative new family of devices that continuously measure level, volume and mass of materials inside a silo or an open bin.
The 3DLevelScanner S measures practically any kind of solid material, stored in
practically unlimited variety of containers, including large open bins, bulk solid storage rooms and warehouses.
The 3DLevelScanner is unaffected by conditions such as dust and filling noises and can and have a measuring range of up to 70m.
|
|
APM's 3DLevelScanner provides an innovative measurement method that takes the guesswork out of measuring the level, volume and mass of materials inside a silo or open bin by generating 3D maps of the contents.
The ultimate true level measurement.
- non-contact measurement.
- unaffected by conditions such as dust and filling noises.
- 3D mapping of the content surface.
- measures an unlimited variety of containers including large silos,
large open bins, bulk solid storage rooms and warehouses.
- measuring range up to 70 m.
- dust-Ex approval.
The 3DLevelScanner employs an array of microphones that measures and maps the entire surface area, and a patented algorithm that processes this information and generates a 3-dimensional map.
This unique device can then accurately determine the volume and mass of material, enabling an unrivaled degree of process measurement and inventory control.

The BinMaster 3DLevelScanner utilizes a 2-dimensional array beam-former that sends very low frequency, dust-penetrating acoustical pulses and receives echoes of the pulses from multiple points on the surface of the material in the bin. The 3DLevelScanner offers multiple point accuracy as the device takes measurements from multiple points versus a single point, thereby taking into account variations that can occur on material surfaces. Standard ultrasonic, radar or cable-based units measure just one point and determine a single distance, while the 3DLevelscanner takes measurements from multiple points within the bin, ensuring greater accuracy.
The low frequency technology penetrates dust, making it suitable for environments where ultrasonics and radar may fail. It is unaffected by material type and is appropriate for powders, granulates, pellets and other solids with no need for special calibration. Employing non-contact measurement, it is suitable for foods, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. There is no risk of moving parts coming into contact with bin material. It offers long measurement range of up to 220 feet and is appropriate for tall bins (taller than they are wide). Three independent transducers promote accuracy and system redundancy, making it one of the most advanced technologies available.
The 3DLevelScanner provides the user a scaled 4-20mA output that can represent either the product or headroom volume. Using an optional HART or RS-485 connection, the user can also connect to the scanner using the 3DLevelManager software. This advanced software allows the user to view real-time data from the scanner and make configuration changes remotely from a PC.
|
|
The 3DLevelScanner can measure the level, volume and mass of materials in new applications that prior technology could not reach.
It measures practically any kind of material stored in practically an unlimited variety of containers, including large open bins, bulk solid storage rooms and warehouses.
3-dimensional mapping delivers true and absolute surface level with taking care of loads that randomly form over time inside silos.

Ultrasonic Liquid Leveller
The Link Instruments ULLC2001 Ultrasonic Level Comparator is one of the most advanced Liquid Levellers on the market. Both extremely easy to use and micro-pic controlled for greater precision in measurement. The transducer is placed against the cylinder body 120mm below the calculated liquid gas level, (normally mathematically calculated). While retaining the transducer at this point the Comparator's ultrasonic level is set to around two or three divisions / bars-, by use of the 0-10 Tune Control. This gives a reference level against which the signal at the gas level / air interface is compared.
By slowly sliding the transducer up the cylinder body, you will arrive at the gas level / air interface. At this point the signal will rise sharply and this is visible on the Comparator usually as all 16 divisions / bars- appear and is due to the enhanced propagation of the Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW), across the liquid gas.

Extremely short microwave impulses with low emitted power in the C-band and K-band frequency range are emitted by the antenna system to the measured product, reflected by the product surface and received again by the antenna system. They spread with light velocity and the time from the emission to receipt of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel. A special time spreading procedure enables a reliable and precise measurement of extremely short time periods.
By simply entering the vessel dimensions, a level-proportional signal can be displayed. An adjustment with emptied and filled vessel is no longer necessary!
The spreading of microwaves is virtually not affected by the ambient temperature and ambient pressure. Radar sensors are ideal for use under arduous process conditions. Pressures from vacuum to 160 bar and temperatures between -40 and 400C are no problem for a radar level measurement.
Fluctuating product compositions or complete changes of the product do not influence the measurement result. A new adjustment is not necessary.

With LB440-RID, the problem of weld inspections is considerably reduced. You have full and accurate information on your process - continuously!
LB440-RID is already being successfully operated in many plants world-wide.
All continuous level measurements employing rod detectors or the SuperSens point detector can be equipped with the patented Radiation Interference Discrimination LB440-RID.
The system works only with Co-60 sources - the energy of the Cs-137 radiation (660 keV) is too close to the energy of sources commonly used in weld inspections to be reliably discriminated.
Existing Berthold Technologies equipment can be easily upgraded to include the RID technology.
