Enraf’s Field Display & Interface Unit (FDI) provides professional tank inventory information in the field, where it is needed. It is a versatile, EEx-d approved instrument with several interface options, which can even be part of W&M approved applications.
The design of the FDI is therefore based on reliable and uninterrupted data
supply in all circumstances. The unit can be used in stand alone mode using the Enraf Bi-phase Mark communication protocol for direct connection to an Enraf gauge, or any other gauge using this standard communication protocol in tank farms. The unit will interrogate the gauge and display its measured data.
To update its display in bigger installations where a remote tank inventory
system is available, the indicator listens to the communication between the field instrument and the remote system. When the communication between system and gauge fails, the FDI automatically takes over the scanning of the instrument to provide the measurement data in the field. After sensing the scanning from the system again, it returns to the original configuration. |

OCIO is an innovative system for monitoring the fluid level inside atmospheric tanks. The system detects the static pressure generated by the fluid height by means of a tube inserted in the tank and professional displays the fluid level or volume. The new design and suitable solutions guarantee a reliable and repeated level indication.
The system is composed of:
A tube for detecting the static pressure. The tube with its end is inserted from the top of the tank and dipped in the fluid down to the bottom of the tank.
A control unit for level display and system management. The unit is provided with intuitive and complete software and allows the connection of two alarm or lock devices.
By means of the software it is possible to:
- set the type and the dimensions of the tank
- define the level alarms
- define the level indication
- define the unit of measurement
- calibrate the instrument
Depending on the set alarm levels, the control unit activates or deactivates the contact working as a remote switch starting the alarm devices or cutting the power dispenser off the connected equipment |

Portable open electronic gauge
The UTImeter Otex is a portable liquid level caliber designed to be operated under open conditions on petroleum and chemical tanks where open gauging is permitted. The sensor is calibrated once at the factory and does not require subsequent calibration. The temperature probe is a RTD element. The characteristics of the RTD are stored inside the sensor. The sensor is sending true temperature values to the electronic box. Therefore changing a sensor or a tape does not require a new calibration. The unit is used for custody transfer, inventory control measurement and free water detection on marine vessels and shore tanks. The HERMetic UTImeter Otex is set on the open gauging hatch.

| The capcitive filling level systems operate according to the three-electrode principle. With this principle the container or an additional electrode serve as a counter-electrode to the probe electrodes. For this reason it is necessary with this system that the container is of a conductive material or a "substitute electrode" is fixed to the container wall, e.g. copper foil. These systems are available with probes for analogue filling level measurement of for detection of 1, 2 or 3 measuring points. The position of the switching points and the analogue measuring area is user-definable within the possible effective range and therefore it can be determined for optimal matching of each application. Level measurements of bulk material, liquids or pastes are possible with a dielectric constant as of år 1,1. |

The VEGAWELL 51 is a sensor of water level equipped with a ceramics-capacitive cell CERTEC® of a purity of 99,92%. This cell is adapted perfectly to the applications of measure of level in the field of the cleansing and the professional water treatment because of its exceptional corrosion resistance, to abrasion and overpressure. This principle of measurement is also particularly well adapted to the measurement of flow in opened channel, in particular on effluents with foam on the surface which is likely to disturb the sensors with usual ultrasounds on these applications.
Cell CERTEC® offers other advantages, in particular a surface levelling with 100% which excludes any risk from deposits and an excellent stability in time lower than 0,1%/2 years, the whole largely contributing to decrease the maintenance actions.
Its very small diameter of only 22 mm in fact a sensor easy to establish even in wells or very narrow tubes of measurement.
The output signal is available in 4... 20 my HART®, the measurement brackets go until 250m in class of precision 0,2. The cable carrying equipped with a capillary compensation with the pressure atmosphere is deliverable for lengths active until 800m.
The typical applications are the measurement of level or differential of level on well, drillings, basins, tanks, ballasts as well as the measurement of flow on open channel.

Modern production facilities employ more and more plant automation systems and computerized controls. These allow the monitoring and control of hydraulic and lubricating systems. Traditional level controls are focused on pump protection i. e. a typical system is equipped with a suppliers of level switch with one or two contacts. These contacts protect the pump from running dry in the event of leakage..
Modern systems provide the opportunity for a pro-active leakage control by the use of continuous signals.
An analog output of 4-20 mA signals continuous signals the fluid level. Deviations from the ""normal"" are detected instantly and can be transformed into many types of action. In case of a catastrophic failure such as a burst professional hose the pump could be shut down immediately rather then let it run until the traditional switch turns it off after a large volume of oil has spilt.
The Nivotemp 63 versions provide continuous analog signals for liquid level only or for level and temperature combined. They are available in two standard length or in 150mm increments. The flange dimensions are the standard ones used for filler/breathers ( DIN 24557/2). In addition the units can be combined with our Fluidcontrolterminal which makes oil care even more technically advanced.
The 63..VA versions are suitable for use with high water based liquids ( HFA).
