Next Generation SMR: The Active Target
The latest invention in professional laser tracking technology: API“s Active Target incredibly improves the use of Laser Tracker. For the first time target tracking technologies are used to work together with active SMR to speed up your measurements tasks. This functionality greatly enhances the ADM feature of modern API Laser trackers.
Automatically target tracking: How it works
The Active Target itself acts as in a similar fashion to a standard repeatability target or SMR (Spherically Mounted Retroreflector). However, the Active Target has the advantage of automatically positioning the reflector so that it is always facing the laser instrument. A simple principle with resounding effects:
Active Target advantages:
The Active Target will stay locked on the laser beam regardless of its movement or orientation in space -you will not lose the beam even within quick and uncontrolled movements of the active SMR
By automatically moving the reflector, the Active Target can be used to measure long rails, the movements of vehicles and professional robots
The Active Target will automatically track the position of CMMs and Cnc machining equipment without manual user intervention

The program of ODS Black-line supplier of laser sensors are a series of sensors based on optical triangulation, with different measuring ranges and resolutions, used in various environments, from the very hot and harsh applications in the heavy industry to the delicate applications in laboratories. Potential applications are innumerable. From food and medical industry over wood-, rubber- and offshore industry to milling marble, stone and cast iron everywhere a non-contact precision measurement is valued. Seven different measuring ranges are available, the smallest covers 16 to 25 mm and the largest 400 to 1100 mm. Furthermore all ODS Black-line sensors are available with measuring frequencies of 2 kHz and 5 kHz. Higher measuring frequencies give shorter distance between the individual measuring points on a moving target, and increase the possibility for averaging over a sufficient number of measuring points to obtain a required high resolution. Apart from the standard models, all ODS Black-line sensors are supplied with a Select functionality, allowing the sensor to be programmed to calculate a user defined running average. Software with every sensor provides easy setting of the Select parameters. For more detailed information please study the PDF/datasheet on our website www.sensor.dk

With our new Professional laser-Distance Sensors DLS-B you measure absolute distances up to 500 meters. Thanks to state of the art laser technology the DLS-B device measures with a precision of 1.5 millimeters. It represents a cost efficient solution even at extreme environment temperatures as low as -40° C.
The DLS-B is an optical measuring device. You can measure, maintenance-free, distances on natural and reflective surfaces. You determine positions on objects difficult to access or with very high surface temperatures. Just as well you can measure distances in an aggressive environment in an easy and accurate way.
Serial, analog and digital interfaces are standard features for the complete DLS-B product line. This enables you to easily connect the DLS-B to a control system (SPS, IPC or PC)
The DLS-B device runs in a Stand-alone-mode and independently executes all programmed functions. Thanks to the flexible range of functions an external display can be connected directly to the DLS-B device via interface RS232 or RS422. Via a digital input, measurements can also be activated from an external button or switch.
For easy configuration of the DLS-B devices, the necessary software is at your disposal. |

Measuring sensors
Measuring optosensory technology offers an unusual performance spectrum. Depending on the field of application, modern optosensors make use of different measurement principles such as triangulation, phase shift or pulse propagation time to measure distances. Measurement takes place either directly to an object or to a reflector. Leuze electronic also offers positioning systems suppliers which determine positions using a professional barcode tape. |

HL-C1 sensors
The professional laser displacement sensor HL-C1 has reached the highest level in its class. Even when sensing difficult objects such as black rubber or very shiny objects, the sensor has no problems maintaining stable and consistent results. Through the fusion of our unique newly developed optical system, linear imaging sensor methodology and high-speed sampling technology, a wide variety of objects can now be stably measured with great precision at ultra high speeds. This new sensor is developed for use in almost all fields of industry like tyre manufacturing or semiconductor production (wafers, printed circuit boards).
HL-C1 controller
The compact and multifunctional controller unit HL-C1CM again shows how powerful this new sensor series is. A flexible combination of controller and sensor heads allows cost-effective service and maintenance. Even in production changeovers, i.e. when the distance to be measured changes, only the head has to be exchanged. Another industry first is a compact touch panel that allows you to conveniently make settings and display data. Up to two sensor heads can communicate with one controller. Together with the touch panel, results can be calculated, e.g. for thickness or difference measurement. Moreover, all adjustments and results can be transmitted via RS232 to a normal PC. |

| The Mcp (MCP) consists of millions of very-thin, conductive glass capillaries (4 to 25 micro meters in diameter) fused together and sliced into a thin plate. Each capillary or channel works as an independent secondary-electron multiplier to form a two-dimensional secondary-electron multiplier. The MCP shows a high detection efficiency to electrons and ions. It is also sensitive to a wide range of other radiation including UV, VUV, soft X-ray photons and neutrons. The MCP offers many advantages over conventional detectors, compact, light weight, good timing properties due to short length, high gain, excellent pulse height distribution and two-dimensional imaging when used in conjunction with a phosphor screen. MCPs are used in mass spectroscopy, low light level imaging and all types of electron microscopes. |

| These new Contrinex sensors are characterized by their remarkably small size, Ų 4 mm smooth or M5, with a housing length of 35 mm. Protruding by 1.8 mm, the spherical sapphire lens projects a cylindrical light beam with a diameter < 4 mm, permitting recessed mounting. Despite their small size, they are fully self-contained, thus making an additional evaluation device superfluous. As a result, the sensors are less costly and easier to install than optical fibers with professional amplifiers. In addition, they replace larger switches where mounting space is limited. The devices are short-circuit proof and operate in a voltage range of 10 ... 30 VDC, and with an output current of up to 100 mA. They are moreover fully vacuum potted and, as a result, largely insensitive to environmental influences (degree of protection Ip 67). |

Vis-a-vis the limits imposed up to now by the miniature detectors, such as: difficult elimination of the background or cable of connection difficult to integrate in the applicatif environment, MINOS is the answer: a new series of opto-electronic detectors in versions energy reflex professional camera, reflex camera with elimination of the background, polarized barrier reflex camera or simple barrier.
Equipped with a ultra-compact case of dimensions 8 X 10,8 X 16,2 mm resistant to the shocks and vibrations, these detectors are smallest (size) market proposing an elimination of the adjustable background. They integrate a function Teach-in statics or dynamics, either integrated, or via an external entry. The response time is lower than 0,5 ms.
On the version reflex camera with elimination of the background, the low limits of size do not prevent the adjustment of the suppression of the background to 60 Misters.
An algorithm of suppression of the mutual disturbances authorizes the assembly close to several detectors, allowing their integration in reduced environments.
These detectors are equipped with an exit cables or interconnector off-set M8 4 poles; thanks to the alternatives left cable axial and left cable radial, the position of the cable is not any more one concern! |

The through beam light sensor ceprox/ELS 264 is a simple and very cost effective sensor for detection of any kind of object in handling stations or automated machinery.
ceprox/ELS 264 through beam detection have a very compact design and can be easily integrated into areas where space is limited. Through the utilization of the latest technology, the ceprox/ELS 264 through beam sensor operates dependably and trouble-free.
The function of the through beam sensor itself is not influenced even by the maximum amount of sunlight (about 100'000 Lux). Because of the compact size of the sensor head of ELS 264, the simple snap in mechanism as well as the wide aperture angle, installation is incredibly easy.
All the electronics (incl. the micro controller) and the protected transistor output are integrated in this small housing and therefore no additional output device is required. |
