Hall Effect Devices detect magnetic flux density (mainly produced by a permanent magnetic) and are used in both movement and position sensing. By integrating the sensing element onto the same silicon as its control logic and interface circuitry, Melexis has produced sensor chips with various degrees of intelligence to suit most applications. Sensing the rotation of shafts (e.g. cam- and crank-shaft) in engine, monitoring movement in motors and industrial actuators, sensing pedal, throttle and steering wheel position, Melexis Hall Devices offer a reliable, contactless method of movement and position detection.
Melexis is a technological leader for the design, development and testing of integrated Hall Effect Devices. Melexis Hall Effect Devices enable an optimal use of the smaller feature sizes of which semiconductor technology is capable today. Therefore, very sophisticated mixed analog-digital signal conditioning circuitry (such as Chopped Analog String, Digital Signal Processing Core, Microcontroller) can be integrated. Most of the devices can withstand the severe automotive conditions despite few external components.

Hall-Effect Position sensor manufacturer W/ Linear Output Voltage (HL)
Non- contact magnetic transducers that are designed to respond to a wide range of positive or negative magnetic fields and can sense relatively small changes in a magnetic field. By having magnet as a target, this unit produces a Ratio-metric Rail-To-Rail linear output. It also has an internal professional amplifier to boost the output to a higher level. These sensors are ideal for applications such as magnetic flux measurement, displacement, and linear output rotary measurement.

If you look for a sensor for position, passage, presence, level or speed, we must have it in our range of magnetic detectors. We can even design the ideal product for your applications.
At celduc® relais, we are eager to offer the best products for your application, thanks to our 30-year experience in the key technologies that we use in our products :
- Reedswitch, a dry contact in a sealed glass industrial bulb providing insulation at the same time. A simple, reliable and low cost solution.
- Electronic cell, based on either magneto-resistance or Hall effect, necessary for higher performance, particularly in frequency . |
|
| All the electronic sensors work on a non-contacting basis using industrial magnets - this includes Hall and magnetoresistive sensors. The exceptions are the gear-wheel sensors which use a ferrous gear-wheel. The advantage of magnetoresistive sensors is that the same sensor, a standard small model, can be used for different operational distances. The operational distances which can be achieved depend only on the strength of the magnet used. All the models can also be delivered with non-wearing Hall sensors. Besides the various standard models, we also manufacture customised housings to your requirements. |
|
Non-contact magnetic detection proximity switch manufacturers produces a digital output. The output produced by Hall-Effect Proximity Switch sensor switches between logic low (operate point) and logic high (release point) with presence and absence of a magnet as a target. The difference between the magnetic operate and release points is called the hysteresis of the device. The built-in hysteresis circuitry allows clean switching of the output even in the presence of external mechanical vibration and electrical noise.

The RPS-400-6 is a compact, high frequency sensor. It was introduced to the Migatron family of manufacturer of ultrasonic sensors to better meet the needs of the machine manufacturing industry.
This sensor has a wide array of application solutions not found in other proximity sensor manufacturers technologies. The RPS-400-6 has an adjustable two to six inch sensing range with background suppression (meaning any object within the desired range is detected, while objects out of the desired range are ignored).
It cannot be affected by changes in target color or material. The RPS-400-6 is capable of detecting vibrating and/or tilting targets. A response time of no more than 2.1 ms and an operating frequency of 300 kHz makes the RPS-400-6 a repeatable and accurate high velocity sensor.
The RPS-400-6 is a three wire NPN transistor output device. The transistor can switch 30VDC at 50 mA continuously. A six-foot cable comes standard with the RPS-400-6. Special cable lengths or professional connectors are also available for OEM applications.

HIGH INDUSTRIAL TEMPERATURE SENSORS
Significant scientific and engineering enhancements in advanced materials, Pre-Process and In-Process production methods and in-site testing methods are driving the demand for displacement sensors that can handle extremely high temperatures up to 1832°F (1000°C). Contemporary producers of aircraft engine rotational alignment, plate glass, materials testing extensometry, continuous flow steel, now use standardized high temperature Capacitec sensor solutions for in-process applications to control the quality of their production on a real time basis. Qualification testing of industrial disc brakes, jet engine dynamics and high speed shaft rotations also rely on Capacitec detection. Advanced materials for automobiles, structural components, and aircraft are also tested for strength and durability with the use of Capacitec's line of extensometers and clip gauges.
High Temperature Major Applications:
- Disc professional brake testing
- Silicon Wafer processing
- Metal and Glass forming
- Jet engine thermal expansion
- Material strength testing
- Mold separation
- Industrial turbine testing
- Strain Extensometry

For demanding applications in high-temperature areas, inductive proximity detectors with good long-term reliability have become increasingly popular. Contrinex offers a series of embeddable and non-embeddable HT switches in sizes M8 to M50. The devices have operating distances from 2 to 25 mm, and are respectively suitable for applications up to 140°C, 150°C, 180°C and 230°C.
The executions for 140°C, 150°C and 180°C feature built-in professional amplifiers. Connections by means of a 2 m silicone or Teflon cable is standard. Other cable lengths and types are available on request.
For 230°C types, the amplifiers are built into an M12 stainless-steel housing, which is connected by means of a standard 2 m Teflon cable, and thus removed from the hot area. This cable carries a pure DC, rather than a high-frequency signal, and its length can thus be chosen freely, without having a negative influence on the switching behavior of the device, and without the need for adjustment. Connection of the amplifier is by means of a 2 m PUR cable.
All the usual protection functions, such as short-circuit, overload and voltage-reversal protection are built in. Furthermore, the devices feature good protection against environmental influences (IP 67). |
|
| Loop detectors are used wherever vehicles have to be detected. For example for monitoring and safeguarding accessways or for counting vehicles. The output signal can be used for controlling door and gate drive mechanism, operating barriers, controlling traffic light systems in car parks or activating card dispensers in car parks. |

In industrial processes where liquids, air or gases are used cocks serve for dosing and control. There is a wide variety of valve types, butterfly or ball taps being the most common quarter-turn types.
In large plants these valves are seldom operated manually. Mechanical actuation is normally done by separate actuators suppliers. The valve position must be monitored electronically. This is necessary to give feedback to the controller when a certain position (e.g. "open" or "closed") is reached and to monitor the valves centrally from a control room.
Mechanical switches are still often used for position feedback on the actuator industrial shaft. For other solutions several proximity switches are used together with a switching target for position detection. Disadvantage of these solutions: Mounting is mechanically complex. During switch mounting the signal wires can be reversed when they are connected in the top-mounted junction case. Where there are temperature fluctuations condensing humidity leads to corrosion and thus malfunction. |
