Winchester Electronics' new 47-position CompactPCI® Power Connectors are designed to the requirements of PICMG® Power Interface Specification 2.11 R1.0 for use in connecting CompactPCI pluggable power supplies to backplanes in subrack equipment based on IEEE 1101.1, IEEE 1101.10, and VITA 30 packaging specifications.
The PICMG Power Interface Specification recommends using 47-position power connectors in all new CompactPCI system designs, superceding prior practices incorporating either similar looking 38-position connectors or DIN 24+8 Type-M power connectors.
Typical CompactPCI system packaging requires right-angle male connectors to be mounted onto daughtercards (free boards) and vertical female socket connectors to be mounted onto backplanes (fixed boards.) Systems containing 3U power supplies utilize one mated pair, while systems containing 6U power supplies use two mated connector pairs.
The 47-position CompactPCI Power Connector provides both versatility and performance through its combination of DC and AC power contacts.

ABCIRH - Halogen Free Bayonet Lock ConnectorABCIRH Series. The AB Connectors Industrial Range is a development based on the ABB MS Series.
To minimise wear caused by vibration and frequent coupling, the bayonet lock coupling method features stainless steel pins at the critical wear points on the cam track of the fixed connector. The connectors are supplied with low fire hazard halogen free insulators as standard. This material has been independently tested to the most stringent requirements.

Temporary but safe disconnection of power is critical in many industries. To meet this requirement Hawke International has introduced a new series of EExd Connectors that are ATEX approved, easy to use and exceptionally robust. They permit the safe and rapid service, repair and replacement of key plant, or provide quick connection to temporary equipment. Their application is beneficial in capital-intensive processes where minimum downtime is essential.
The new connectors are ideal for Zone 1 and Zone 2 explosive environments commonly found in oil and gas exploration, production and process plants. However, their features also offer benefits in Zone 21 and Zone 22 explosive dust environments, or in harsh and hostile non-explosive applications.
In compliance with the ATEX Directive (94/9/EC), the new design retains many of the best features of Hawke's previous connector range, but in addition adds innovations based on user feedback. Because of permanent injuries risk in industries, there are more health and safety requirements in harsh environments. Marechal decontactors (DXN, DX, SPeX) comply with ATEX Directives 94/9/CE and 99/92/CE required for these areas.
Thanks to their explosion proof casings and their “de” protection mode, they can apply in explosive atmospheres in zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust). Their safety load break switch capability allows a disconnection up to 63 A without any electrocution hazard for users.
The DXN decontactor is EX approved for zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust). It offers automatic IP66/IP67 ingress protection rating as soon as the plug is inserted into the socket. Its casing made by glassfibre-reinforced polyester affords an excellent mechanical protection (IK08) and resistance to extreme temperatures (-40 °C to +60 °C).
