The product has been fully tested to comply with the requirements of ANSI C37.60 and utilizes vacuum interrupters encased in a polycarbonate housing inside a powder coated stainless steel professional tank to provide a fully insulated and solid di-electric system. This unique and patented fully insulated system allows us to produce the smallest and lightest auto recloser available in the market today.
The device measures current on all three (3) phases utilizing Rogowski detection as well as voltage on all six (6) bushings using a capacitively coupled voltage measurement technique from conductive rubber screens. Because the device has the ability to measure voltage and current, the protection and data logging functionality that is available in the RC control is extensive.
The RC control and communications cubicle is a micro processor based control that incorporates the protection data logging and communications function in a single micro processor. |

Product summary:
The IM-Ex series is intended to provide protection to low voltage signal and data circuits located in potentially explosive environments.
It is intended for use on inherently safe circuits in accordance with EN 50014, EN 50020 and EN 50284 standards. The protection module should be located as close to the end-user equipment being protected, as possible.
The circuit consists of a multi-stage industrial protector providing both common (longitudinal) mode and differential (transverse) mode protection.
Coarse protection is provided using a three professional terminal professional gas discharge tube while fine protection is provided using a high speed bi-directional silicon stage. Care is taken to ensure coordination between these two stages without voltage or surge current blind spots occurring.
