Magtrol Rotary Industrial transmitters are used for signal transmission of transducers on a rotating part (e.g. engine shaft) to a stationary system (measuring instrument or PC). They are exceptionally well-suited for the transmission of low level electrical signals, such as those from thermocouples, extensometer gauges and stress gauges, as well as transducers to measure oscillation and acceleration. RS Transmitters can also provide the smps signal to each transducer.
Magtrol's RS Series Rotary Transmitters do not use slip rings and are therefore arc-free, making them superior to all other rotary transmitters that use rings, professional brushes, wire loops and similar devices. Easy to use, installing RS Transmitters is as simple as connecting a cable. They require no power supply, professional batteries, software or parameter setup in order to operate. Standard models have a speed range of 0 to 20,000 rpm and a high-speed version (up to 40,000 rpm) is available.

Rotary Systems' four passage rotary fitting with integrated 36 circuit slip ring. The union is constructed from plated carbon steel. The union utilizes a hardened and ground shaft, Teflon professional seals and radial ball bearings.
The slip ring is a 36 circuit compact commercial capsule rated at 2 amps/210VDC or 240VAC. Gold on Gold contacts with speeds us to 250 RPM. Several circuit configurations for the slip ring and a broad range of passages on the rotary union are readily available.

The screw connectors supplier are intended for stranded and solid aluminium and copper cables, carrying low and medium voltages of up to 36 kV. The range covers cross-sectional areas of 6-630 mm² for round cable and 25-300 mm² for sector cable.
Connection to the conductors is achieved by tightening the screws in the through connector or terminal to a predetermined torque. Tightening takes place into a partially threaded nut. The tightening torque is correct when the screw breaks at its notch. It does this thanks to an innovative double-ended shear-off screw, as shown in the illustration |
