| Testing of Electricity Metering equipment, takes many different forms. Apart from accuracy and stability, meters must also be tested against interference conducted on the elctricity cables. This can be in the form of impulses generated by lightning events, switching action in the mains network or insulation breakdown. EMC Partner specializes in designing test equipment to meet the international standards for impulse testing of energy meters. IEC61036 and IEC62052 are typical standards for class 1 and 2 metering equipment. |

The 3091LD is designed to provide precisely controlled non-linear loads for testing AC power generation equipment such as UPS’s, AC sources, electrical switches and circuit breakers. The ability to simulate high crest factor and variable power factor AC load conditions provides an effective method of testing these and other AC products against real-world conditions and can significantly increase product reliability.
Traditionally, many of these products are tested using resistive load banks. This approach does not simulate real-world conditions such as switching AC inputs found in many AC powered products. This type of conventional testing does not fully exercise the equipment under test (EUT) against worst case operating conditions. High peak currents and low power factor loads can significantly impact the operating characteristics of a UPS or AC power product. Unless properly exercised, product defects may go undetected until a unit is used at a customer site, resulting in costly field returns. |

Simply the best HARMONIC and FLICKER test system available today. HAR1000 does not require expensive and bulky AC sources, it uses a novel technique to provide active compensation of distortion on the national power mains.
Featuring dual analysers, the input and output signal are constantly monitored to ensure compliance. HAR1000 conforms to the latest IEC61000-3-2 Edition 2 but also allows testing to previous standard editions.
HAR1000 can be enhanced with the following accessories.
HAR-EXT1000, three phase system
Adds two further phases to the HAR1000. Simple connection without any hardware modifications mean this powerful extension can be added at any time to an existing single phase system.
HARCS Immunity software
This package can be added to both the single and three phase systems. It extends the system’s emission capability to include power line immunity tests such as harmonic immunity according to IEC61000-4-13, voltage fluctuations according to IEC61000-4-14 and ripple on DC according to IEC61000-4-17.
Adding the EMC Partner PS3, allows testing to IEC61000-4-28 for frequency fluctuations.

The EN6100-3-2 standard deals with the limitation of harmonic currents injected into the public mains supply system. Meanwhile, the EN6100-3-3 standard addresses the limitation of voltage fluctuations and flicker in low-voltage supply systems for equipment with a rated current of over 16A. These two standards, which became a mandatory requirement in Europe in 2001, apply to electrical and electronic equipment that have an input current up to and including 16A per phase and that are intended to be connected to public low-voltage distribution systems, such as supply voltages nominally 230V AC or 415V AC 3 phase.

|
The HARMONICS-1000 is a flexible one-box test and measurement equipment for testing and measuring harmonics and flicker on power supply. Because of the new designed amplifier the weight and the price of the HARMONICS-1000 are low.

The Narda Broadband Field Meter NBM-550 has been designed to measure electromagnetic field strengths in the vicinity of transmitters and industrial equipment, and to evaluate and record the results in the context of human safety standards. Particular attention has been paid to ease of use. The instrument can be operated with one hand by anyone – left-handed or right-handed. The probes are isotropic, i.e. equally sensitive in all directions, so users do not need to worry about the direction the radiation is coming from.
The result data memory holds up to 5000 results along with date and time information. A GPS receiver (option) plugged into the basic unit and connected via USB gives the NBM the capability to store position data for each measurement. Instead of handwritten notes, voice comments can also be recorded. All the data can be uploaded to a PC and managed using the PC software supplied with the instrument. Measurement reports are therefore very easy to generate.
The basic unit and the probes are separately calibrated at the factory. The probe calibration data are stored in an EPROM in the probe itself. The NMB basic unit retrieves this automatically via the intelligent probe interface, and takes it into account in the results. |

Electric power lines and telecommunication lines often occupy parallel routes as a result of the utilisation of joint facilities or sharing a common right-of-way. Direct contact with electrical mains power can occur through networks line cable faults. The contact may not cause opening of a power system circuit breaker. A.C. current resulting from direct contact may make effective protection difficult. EMC Partner have a range of products designed to meet the ITU-T K44, ITU-T K20 and ITU-T K21 requirements for both power CONTACT and power INDUCTION testing.
MIG-ITU-K44 is a stand alone system that delivers up to 1,600V for enhanced level testing. NW-K44PC can provide up to 600V to meet basic levels.
Additional accessories enable power contact testing at 230V up to 20A per line. |
