Moxa's CP-112UL/UL-I series of multiport serial boards are designed to be used by industrial automation system integrators for long distance, multi-point, PC-based data acquisition applications. On-chip Automatic Data Direction Control for precision RS-485 communications requires precise timing control for enabling and disabling the line driver. The Moxa Turbo Serial EngineTM chip that powers the CP-112UL/UL-I boards comes with on-chip ADDC, which makes RS-485 as easy to use as RS-232. The boards come with 2 RS-422/485 serial ports, each of which can achieve data rates up to 921.6 Kbps. In RS-485 mode, the serial port can connect up to 31 daisy-chained RS-485 devices within a range of 1.2 km. For long distance RS-485 communication, 2 KV optical isolation protection is available to prevent equipment damage.

High performance PROFIBUS DP/DPV1 interface
The DF PROFI II is a high performant PROFIBUS DP/DPV1 board of the newest generation and is available as PCI, PCIe, CompactPCI and PC104+ board. The DF PROFI II PCI interface supports 5V and 3.3V 32 Bit PCI slots, so it can be used in server pcs and workstations without problems. Beside the standard DP/DPV1 PROFIBUS services the board implements useful additional options.
The implemented hardware watchdog allows the electrical switch off of the PROFIBUS interface, that allows the board to be used in redundant DP Master concepts with 2 pc systems.
The process image contains except I/O data and status information a relative time stamp with millisecond resolution.
The DF PROFI II board needs for the data exchange of the process image only round about 1 ms with common I/O data sizes up to 3 Kbytes and stores the PROFIBUS configuration data in a failsafe flash memory.

As a Universal PCI card, PBpro PCI is compatible with both the 5 V signal levels of traditional PCs and the 3.3 V signals used primarily in modern server PCs. The small form factor of the one-channel card means it can also be used in compact "low-profile" systems.
The one-channel PBpro PC/104plus card is particularly suited to use in compact industrial computer systems in the PC/104 format. In keeping with the development of this standard, the card uses Universal PCI as the interface to the CPU board. The card also has an ISA interface which is passively passed on to the many peripheral cards which still require it.
All of the cards mentioned work as a PROFIBUS master or slave and support DP-V0, DP-V1 and DP-V2. Furthermore, any number of other PROFIBUS applications can be realized through an FDL interface. The package includes drivers for Windows XP and 2000. Other operating system drivers are currently in preparation.
Connections to the application can be established directly through the application programming interface (API), which is compatible with the other PROFIBUS cards from Softing; the programming examples that are included make integration easy. Additional software products are also offered which enable connections to visualizations (via the PROFIBUS OPC server).

Overview
Moxa's new CP-602U-I CAN (Controller Area Network) interface board supports the Universal PCI interface. As a stand-alone CAN controller, the CP-602U-I is a cost-effective solution that provides two active CAN controllers with a DB9 connector on the same board. The CP-602U-I CAN interface board uses the NXP SJA1000 and transceiver PCA82C251, which provides the bus arbitration and error detection. The -40 to 85C wide operating temperature (CP-602U-I-T only) and 2 KV isolation make the boards suitable for use in harsh industrial environments.
