Electromagnetic interference (EMI) can be described as any type of electrical interference, signal or noise, which temporarily or permanently effects the ability of electrical or electronic equipment or systems to function correctly. This phenomenon is familiar to everyone, even if we do not have a fundamental understanding of (EMI) principles.
Most people have witnessed and experienced the effects of interference whilst watching television when someone nearby is operating an electrical device. An other well know president is the mobile phone which disturbs the electronic equipment on board of aircrafts.
This interference, which is also referred to as Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), is active throughout the environment. Its effects can vary from distorting electrical measurements, activating equipment at random (Health & Safety Issue), creating severe disruption of testing, communications, data handling, medical and defence activities.
ELDON’s Approach to shielding Enclosures
Eldon wants to offer their customers an EMC enclosure, which is designed to provide the best possible screening effectiveness, with built-in, long-term reliability and at a cost effective price.

Mica has a high dielectric strength and excellent chemical stability, making it a favored material for manufacturing capacitors for radio frequency applications. It has also been used as an insulator in high voltage electrical equipment. It is also birefringent and is commonly used to make quarter and half wave plates.
We use transparent natural mica, which has been important in the electrical/electronic industry in such applications as electron tubes, sight windows, capacitors, generators, and insulating spacers for semiconductors.
Mica is very stable at high temperatures, and possesses some attractive electrical properties. It is flexible, chemically inert, and has good mechanical strength perpendicular to the lamina.
We provide mica parts fabricated to your specifications and drawings.

Magnetic Shield Corp.'s Lab Kits are highly effective in solving design problems of magnetic interference. (D.C. to 100 kilohertz). By adding MU METAL, CO-NETIC and NETIC layers until desired attenuation is achieved, minimum material requirements can be determined. This results in significant cost savings in the final design.
An important advantage of the "hands-on" shielding approach is that changes in a circuit layout, shield configuration, power levels and component orientation are easily evaluated. The Lab Kit permits magnetic shields to be designed and modified until required performance is obtained. The prototype then serves as a model for production.
As a special offer to introduce you to the exceptional characteristics of our CONETIC and NETIC proprietary alloys, Magnetic Shield has assembled the LK110-IS Lab Kit with Gaussmeter. Containing all the same wide variety of CONECTIC and NETIC alloys as both the LK-120 and LK-110 Lab Kits, the Internet Special Lab Kit also contains a Gaussmeter, This combination of materials and meter is offered for a reduced cost of $199.95.
The EF-401 Gaussmeter is a cost effective, handheld, single-axis magnetic field meter that provides the user with a quick, reliable and easy way to measure electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation levels.
Purchase an LK-110-IS and save 10 per cent off the retail price of the Kit and the Gaussmeter.

Enclosure shielding :
GETELEC proposes, for the shielding of telecom base stations as well as all types of enclosures, a large range of isolating and conductive gaskets. These gaskets are proposed with adhesive film and vulcanized in the angles to allow rapid mounting. Sections are hollow to allow adequate compression of the gasket without deteriorating your enclosures. The materials proposed are nickel graphite, carbon and metallized fiber.
We can define and produce the adequatesection according to your enclosure specifications. Please contact us for availability of existing profiles.

Conductive EMI shielding coated polyester film silver based.
This combination of low surface resistance and high visible light transmission uniquely qualifies them for use in EMI shields of displays and other applications that require shield transparency.
When properly grounded, PeAg films can provide good attenuation over the frequency range 1-10 GHz.
The ability of Ag conductive coatings to attenuate the electromagnetic energy emitted by electronic devices depends entirely of the surface resistance of the coatings.

MU METAL® offers important electromagnetic field shielding characteristics, including very high magnetic permeability - its ability to absorb magnetic energy. The unique properties of this family of alloys results in the highest possible attenuation, making these shielding alloys the materials of choice for reducing low-frequency electromagnetic interference (EMI).
MU METAL® is a trademarked brand of Magnetic Shield Corporation. MU METAL® meets MILSPEC 14411C, composition 1. When the specification or the application calls for a magnetically soft or high permeability material, MU METAL® can frequently be successfully applied.
MU METAL® magnetic shielding prevents magnetic fields from reaching areas where they would cause magnetic interference. Magnetic shielding is used around either the source of interference, to prevent electromagnetic radiation from leaving a device; or more typically, around a sensitive device, to prevent the electro magnetic interference (EMI) from disrupting normal operations.

Laird Technologies is the world’s foremost designer of elastomeric compounds engineered to have advanced electrical and thermal performance. Using our own in-house material scientists, we design Form-in-Place compounds to achieve excellent EMI shielding in dispensable forms.
Gaskets can be dispensed onto any conductive painted, plated, or metallic surface of an electronics enclosure to protect it against internally and externally radiated interference and environmental elements.
The gaskets have a cost savings in the form of raw materials, labor, and assembly time. They are as small as 0.4mm can be applied on your product allowing more critical packaging space for board-level components. Room temperature cure gasketing materials eliminate the need for costly heat curing systems and single-component compounds eliminate ingredient mixing thus shortening production cycles. There is high shielding effectiveness of 70-100 dB to 18 GHz. The dispensing system supports high volume production schedules with excellent adhesion on a wide variety of metal and plastic substrates.

Like an unseen virus, magnetic interference can infect the systems of any medical electronic product or equipment. When medical devices must render the clearest, sharpest "image" possible by translating magnetic fields into digital data, magnetic shielding concerns, and image clarity issues are magnified.
As "the preferred source" of magnetic shielding for more than 65 years, Magnetic Shield Corporation has provided custom shield design assistance to many engineers, designers, and manufacturers of medical imaging devices, as well as R&D for future medical apparatus.
Our foundation of EMI engineering and our reputation for quality dates back to the earliest days of medical imaging, when Magnetic Shield provided shields installed around the first Cathode Ray Tubes in early televisions and X-ray monitors. As electonics and imaging have progressed through the decades, so too, has Magnetic Shield. We have participated in many advancements, continually rising to challenges presented by technology advancements.
Our proprietary materials MU METAL®, CO-NETIC® and NETIC® have been designed specifically for magnetic shielding. All are stocked, in sheet and foil of various thicknesses and widths. We also stock a vast array of wire, cable, conduit and braided sleeves. We can provide these specialty materials, or custom manufacture simple and complex magnetic shield shapes for you.
Medical equipment and products are one of the largest channels within our business, which make us experts in this field. For over 67 years, Magnetic Shield Corporation has been "the preferred source."

SILAIR is a panel for electromagnetic protection and screening for ventilation, heating ducts, lighting apertures…
The metal honeycomb cells of SILAIR use the waveguide principle which provides excellent attenuation but a minimal loss of pressure.
It allows air to circulate while ensuring the electrical screening of the aperture.
The outer frame enables the SILAIR panel to be fixed to its support. In certain cases a conductive gasket is recommended between the frame and its support.
