HMC Chucks feature the "Perma Fix" Roll Lock System, with its long fine slots of the internal bore, is an integral part of the entire body. This design assures ultra accuracy and rigidity. When tightening the nut, the needle roller bearings rise on the exterior taper of the chuck body and clamp evenly around the entire 360° tool perimeter. As a result, the greater the clamping pressure, the higher the concentricity.
Superior steel alloy allows tough hardening treatment for greater durability. The New Hi-Power Milling Chuck can be operated thousands of times before even the slightest wear will become apparent. The patented pin mechanism assures positive non-slip locking for large diameter 2" shank cutters under the heaviest cutting conditions.

Rapid changes
in today’s consumption patterns must be met with manufacturing methods which give profitability even with short runs.
Shorter runs mean frequent setting-up, so that setting-up times are becoming increasingly significant in terms of the financial results. Every minute of setting-up time that can be converted to active machining time means lower costs. So – minimised setting-up times lead to higher productivity, greater flexibility and therefore increased profitability.
MacroMagnum is a further development of the patented Macro system. The powerful clamping force and the position of the reference surfaces far away from the chuck centre provide a stability and accuracy that are ideal for applications with powerful machining forces.
- A seal protects the references from fouling
- Double Z-references for different pallet sizes
- Double X/Y references of cemented carbide
- Coarse guiding protects the references
- Automatic air-blast cleaning
- Turbo locking
Facts
- Repetition accuracy: 0.002 mm
- Recommended tightening torque, manual chucks: Macro pallets 5 Nm, MacroMagnum pallets 12 Nm
- Clamping force: 16 000 N

Collets are used worldwide in the metalworking industry for their high accuracy and high output gripping of tools and work pieces. Compact Automation Products has chosen 3 popular collet sizes: 1C, 3C and 5C to design our space efficient collet fixtures around. Two designs are offered: SC series and PSC series, powered by pneumatic or hydraulic pressure. The PSC305C is suitable for pressures higher than 750 psi. Output gripping forces range from several pounds through 4-1/2 tons. Compact collet closers are offered in space efficient, cost effective packages demanded by modern factory automation. They are ideal stationary fixtures for metalworking, bench top assembly, and precision robotics and assembly machine applications. Other applications include crimping and forming.

Hardinge Sure-Grip Power Chucks are lever-operated, counter-centrifugal and dynamically balanced. This enables you to continually operate your CNC lathe at higher spindle speeds and feed rates with less concern for loss of jaw force normally associated with wedge-style chucks.
Sure-Grip Power Chucks mount directly to ANSI A2-4, A2-5, A2-6 and A2-8 spindles, eliminating the added tolerance buildup when using special adapter plates. Sure-Grip Power Chucks come standard with 1.5mm x 60 serrated master jaws designed to ISO specifications. Quick-change chucks available.
Hardinge manufactures a complete line of jaws for all brands of chucks.

ITW Workholding offers a wide range of power chucks for special design applications. Products include:
Woodworth UBL (shown) - This is a ball chuck with offers pull down gripping. Available in centering and / or compesation style. The UBL provides 6 points of contact (3-jaw model) using jaws that conform to part differences
Woodworth ECC - This 6-jaw equalizing, counter centrifugal, chuck is used in applications where part tolerances are very tight. Where most chucks offer a 3 to 1 grip force ratio, the ECC offers a 2 to 1. This means you can have finer adjustments for grip force. Also, the standard feature of the counter centrifugal force compensation means you can run at higher speeds with less grip force loss.
Collet Chucks - Used in 2nd operation turning, ITW Workholding designs and builds special collet chucks which offer a wide range of solutions to your turning, milling or grinding requirements.
