The product range Workholding includes modular T-Slot Systems (V40 and V70) and Hole and Dowel Systems (L12 and L16) for the construction of clamping fixtures.
The large standard program is available from stock. The substantial clamping element assortment is included in the standard parts catalogue.

Low-profile clamps come in two basic models, one with a single-wedge and the other with a double-wedge construction. In addition, we offer a line of machinable jaw models for workpieces of irregular shape and a special model for casting and wire EDM applications
Standard models come with a hardness of 48-52 HRC and the jaws are serrated or smooth, depending on model. Both the wedge and the jaws are made of tool steel and are through hardened. Fastening operation involving one bolt (M5-16) ensures quick set up times.

The Alpha A-Pod was borne out of the Job Shop market where set ups were always changing and having a dedicated magnetic chuck on one machine was not practical. The A-Pods provided greater flexibility and quicker pay back. Due to the A-Pod's flexibility, customers began to discover other uses for the A-Pods.
The A-Pod is an ideal tool for the creative shop owner, so Tool and Die shops began using the magnets in place of hydraulic fixtures because magnets cost less, are more flexible and require virtually no maintenance. Unlike a chuck, the A-Pod is completely modular and has little impact to a machine's table weight capacity. A set of A-Pods can be shared between multiple machines.
Large plate manufacturer's discovered the benefits of the A-Pods over conventional magnetic chucks, because A-Pods provide sufficient clamping force and greater flexibility for less money and with significantly less weight.

SPECIAL FIXTURES
With special fixturing, individual components are held and located with precision and rigidity.
Cycle times (set up and changeover) are decreased while accuracy is maintained. They are ideal for repetitive work, and there is potentially no need to probe the components.

Function:
The clamping element is double-acting with a 90° swing angle The swing movement is enabled by means of two hydraulic ports and a unique patented guide pin in the swing sink clamp. The piston is guided by a guide pin in such a manner that during part of the stroke a 45° rotation takes place.
The unclamping, change-over and clamping positions are monitored by inductive proximity switches The swing mechanism is protected by spring-loaded overload protection and equipped with emergency hand operation.

Witte modular fixturing systems are used to build all kinds of fixtures i.e. holding fixtures, measuring fixtures or jigs, checking gauges, gap and flush gauges, cubings, meisterbocks, blue bucks, match metal fixtures, tool reference models, data control models etc. etc. The dimensions and accuracy of various types of profile enable rigid configurations in any type and dimension.
We offer complete fixtures and attend our customers from planning through approval process to after sales service. Design is done in CAD by our staff, who are experienced in following our customer’s special requirements. Manufacturing, assembly and measuring is taken care of almost entirely in-house by our experienced staff coordinated by our project managers.
Modular fixturing systems enable fast realization of projects from plan to product. Further time and cost advantages are possible if modifications to finished fixtures are necessary because work pieces change.

The use of prismatic type workholding, brings all of a machine’s axes into play - and each pallet can be loaded with the maximum number of components.
Chevin Tools offers a wide range of prismatic workholding; all made from cast iron to provide both strength and increased damping capability.

Hardinge Collet Blocks grip round, hex, square or odd-shaped parts and can be used horizontally or vertically on mill tables, flat or angled fixture plates, tombstones or rotary trunnions. Sizes are available from the 1C micro medical machining industry up to the 35J mid-range automotive and aerospace industries. Modular collets blocks are compact with a low profile for increased axis travel and for maximum layout of the workspace. A collet can provide certain advantages over a jaw chuck, vise and other clamping methods.
There are some advantages of using Collet Blocks instead of a standard vise or 3-jaw chuck. A collet automatically centers the workpiece for reduced setup time. Centers remain fixed when the fixture is removed from the machine table. A collet provides equal gripping pressure around the circumference of the part unlike a standard vise or a 3-point contact jaw chuck. Thin-wall parts or delicate materials may crush or distort in a standard vise or jaw chuck. Collets ordered with serrations can add additional gripping power to prevent push-back and radial slipping. Extended-nose collets can provide additional tool clearance. Some collet blocks accept expanding collets to grip a part at the internal diameter. Collet blocks are modular for arranging on a pallet for multiple part processing and quick pallet changeover.
