Land and Offshore Containerised Drilling Rig LOC 400
In 2005 Huisman introduced the LOC 250, a fully Containerised Super Single Drilling Rig for use on land. Building on this experience we developed and constructed the LOC 400, a land and offshore containerised, 400 ton hook-load Rig. The LOC 400 is easy-to-transport and offers our clients the option to combine conventional DP drilling with the advantages of emerging Casing While Drilling processes.
Two of the most important features of the LOC 400 are the small footprint required and the possibility to break down the entire rig into 22 modules with the dimensions of standard ISO containers. Its modular design enables the LOC 400 rig to be used on land, on skid beams or on offshore platforms. The small footprint makes it very suitable for environmentally sensitive areas.
Complete package
Many conventional rigs are combinations of components and subsystems developed and maintained by different suppliers. The LOC 400 is a fully integrated, operational drilling rig that is offered as a complete package. All components have been tested to ensure trouble-free operation. The monitoring system includes satellite-linked remote diagnosis and troubleshooting, which enables our Engineers to solve any occurring problems by remote access.
Each LOC 400 is customised to meet our client's specific needs and is fully tested and commissioned before delivery. Additional modules such as extra mud tanks or mud pumps are installed on request.

Type VB 103
The small, very compact vertical drilling rig is ideal for ground survey and well drilling, usable for dry- or mud drilling.
In accordance with your request this rig can be installed both on an one-axled-trailer and on a caterpillar chassis. This chassis guarantees an extremly low centre of gravity and best off-road property.
The width of the drilling rig is reducible from 1.360 to 850 mm by folding the chassis. Narrow entrances can be gone through without any problems.

Our vertical drilling rig VB 600 represents the highest level of development of our drilling rigs.

The vertical drilling rig type VB 152 is a light drilling machine. It can be installed on a trailer, caterpillar chassis or on a small truck.
If it is used a caterpillar chassis, the advantage of the type VB 103 R - reduction of the weidth by folding the chassis - is also possible up to 1.000 mm.
The drilling rig is working full hydraulically. Typical applications are ground survey, exploration drillings (dry and mud drilling) or earth heat tubings.
