Shuttlecar
Unlimited haulage capacity
The Shuttlecar offers virtually haulage capacity in tunnels with sections as small as 4 sqm. Regardless of the scope of the round, loading and haulage can always be carried out in a single continuous operation without troublesome car switching.
Three different sizes
Designed to work together with our rail-borne loaders our range of Shuttlecars will allow for truly continuous loading. Muck can be loaded directly onto the Shuttlecar by the Häggloader and then transferred from car to car via the built-in conveyors. Shuttlecars come in three different sizes. The three standard version has a capacity of 9,0 qm (HRST90), 11,5 qm (HRST115) and 14,0 qm (HRST140)
Up to eight shuttlecars can be coupled together allowing for excavation of more than 100 qm of muck without troublesome and time consuming car switching.

Less rock in the raw coal means preparation plants can operate more efficiently and the coal will contain less refuse to dispose of above ground. All this, of course, helps make coal mining more friendly to the environment.
Our cutting bits will last longer because the shearer design minimizes out of seam dilution, even under complicated geological conditions, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
Aside from the rock, the continuous miner operator can control each cutter shearer independently to avoid parts of coal seams that contain ash or coal with greater amounts of sulphur.
Bottom line, the Fairchild mining concept will send a better product to the surface.
