Talleres Egaña, s.l. introduces a new range of dampers in stainless steel. The characteristics of these mounts are similar to the ones in normal steel but the applications are not the same as they are mainly used in chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry or food and beverage industry.
The range of these products includes the Egaña series of dampers of type T and HD and some machine mounts too.

The innovative TUBUS profile dampers are a very cost-effective alternative for emergency stop applications.
They are produced from a special Co-Polyester Elastomer. They constantly decrease energies in areas in which other materials would fail. The excellent damping characteristics are achieved through the material and the worldwide patented construction design.
The profile dampers are versatile and are designed to absorb the rising energy with a degressive (TA-series), almost linear (TS-series) or progressive (TR-series) characteristic. The TUBUS-series comprises five main types with almost
80 individual models.

Vibration dampers are different elements to connect two units or to install one unit into a system.
The design of these vibration dampers is a result of the development considering the space, the technical characteristics and requirements (load, frequencies, amplitudes, max load, etc.) as well as the surrounding conditions.

Talleres Egaña is still improving by innovation and research. That can explain the appearing of new products and materials such as polyurethane, which is a complementary element to rubber and brings a new conception to the antivibration market.
The wide range of Egaña products is increasing step by step and their products are used in Machinery (lathes, presses, plastic injectors, shears, guillotines...), Compressors, Groups, Air conditionning and in many other sectors of Industry in general. |

| LASTO ISOBLOCK reduces vibrations from train and road traffic. The parallel swinging masses and the stiffness of the bearings lead to a lower frequency of the object than the interfering frequency, which provides an ideal insulation effect. |

Limits based on damping direction. Force always relates to the net load which is pushing or pulling on the dashpot. Typically, force will dictate the unit’s size when the Airpot is used in the dashpot configuration (as opposed to snubber configurations where energy is the primary factor).
At rest, the dashpot is a passive device and has no force output. In motion, the dashpot offers a resisting force which rises to equal the force of the input load, achieving a zero net force. This results in zero acceleration and constant velocity.
Force limits of Airpot dashpots are determined by the direction of damping and the diameter of the piston.
In pull damping units, a vacuum is being created in the dashpot as the piston moves outward. Thus, the maximum resisting force limit of the unit is a direct function of atmospheric pressure and the area of the piston (F=PA).
Assuming an equal ambient pressure, larger diameter units will have force limits higher than smaller diameter units; the limits being directly proportional to their piston areas. (Model force limits are summarized in the specifications section.)
In the push damping (compression) direction, air must be compressed into an ever decreasing space; the force can rise to a level which is higher than is possible in the pull damping direction. Therefore, it is possible for a smaller diameter push damping unit to achieve greater resisting forces than a larger diameter pull damping unit. However, stroke lost to compression should be taken into consideration. |

Pumps may rotate or reciprocate. Rotating pumps are usually well balanced. Nevertheless their elastic support makes sense when these pumps are installed on the upper floor levels inside a building, since in this way vibration and structure borne noise can be avoided.
|
|
Large gas and diesel engines are used for many purposes, i.e. trains, ships and for local power generation. In all cases, foundations for these engines must be both economical and effective. Elastic support of this equipment meets these requirements.
During operation, some of the oscillating forces and moments generated by the engine are balanced internally; remaining forces and moments are transmitted into the foundation. |

Precision machine tools like Roll Grinders, Machining Centres, 3-D Measuring Machines, Microscopes or Test Equipment, located typically in the middle of a plant, are often sensitive to vibrations, excited somewhere in the surroundings.
