The GHT 4x4 is the total traction filter press with high productivity. The professional filter plates, which are hung from the upper beam, are moved automatically by a rapid shifting device equipped with a carousel system which reduces the filter professional press opening and closing sequence to the minimum. Four hydraulic cylinders manufacturers placed on the plate pack corners ensure perfect operation and limited structural stress, even in the most unfavourable working conditions. Different from the traditional push-type systems, the “total traction” system does not transmit any stress to the upper beam, which is only subjected to weight of plates supported from it. In fact, the forces applied by the closing device are subjecting the tie beams to tension, which avoids stress on the frame and consequently, the risk of structural deformation. Effectively guarded moving parts and the use of state-of-the-art electronic interlock systems mean that the GHT 4x4 conforms to the highest operator health and safety regulations. Routine maintenance operations are simple, thanks to easy access to the filter plates, both for inspection and for filter cloth replacement.

| Lagoon filtration system provides the removal of foreign solids or organic impurities from chemical solutions or from baths of special treatments. The group is constitued by the filtration chamber with lid, injection-moulded professional fittings which contain the filtration system, positioned on the base. In the same base, well protected, is situated the mag drive pump, the pipeline equipped with cocks and switch. Many chambers can be assembled together either in parallel or in series connected to a bathtub in order to professional filter using the carbon purification process. Thanks to the spacious basement all the parts can be easily inspected. Many different versions of filtration units are available: paper, meraklon cartridges, washable pleated cartridges. Decanters provide the benefits of high clarifying efficiency and maximum dewatering as well as the separation of liquids with the simultaneous removal of solids. The main requirements in this respect include a high bowl speed, a powerful drive for the scroll and a scroll speed which automatically adapts to the solids loading in the feed.

Clarifying decanters are used to separate solids out of a suspension to obtain a virtually solids-free, clarified liquid.

Benefits
One of the most important aspects of EDM performance is flushing. Transor stresses the importance of providing dielectric filtered to a continuous and absolute one micron for flushing. Fewer and smaller particles result in a predictable environment where the following EDM benefits can be achieved
Reduced Machining Time=Faster Cuts
Without clean dielectric, microscopic particles present in the oil can interfere with effective machining of the workpiece. If present in sufficient quantities, the frequency of discharge will be reduced and the electrode will back away from the cut. Transor's one micron filtration helps to eliminate this contamination contributing to efficient performance at optimum machining speed.
Improved Accuracy
Geometric shapes may be deformed and tolerances not achieved when dielectric is contaminated by conductive particles. Again, Transor's one micron filtration capabilities minimize these particles which interfere with the controlled discharge machining of the sidewalls of the cavity. Clean dielectric is essential to achieve the repeatability and close tolerance requirements of production and multi-cavity mold applications.
Reduced Pitting=Reduced Polishing
Particles bridging the gap between the electrode and workpiece convert the AC current used in EDM to DC current. This causes a concentrated discharge, resulting in arcing and pitting that damages the electrode or the workpiece. With dielectric filtered to one micron, more consistent current allows finer surface finishes that reduce polishing time.

Brackish water desalination became viable in the early 1950's when GE Water & Process Technologies developed the world's first commercially-applied membrane desalination technology. This breakthrough, called electrodialysis (ED), is an electrochemical separation process in which ions are transferred through ion exchange membranes by means of direct current (DC) voltage. In the ED process, ions are removed from the feed water as the current drives the ions through the membranes to desalinate the process stream. In the early 1970's, ED was updated to electrodialysis reversal (EDR), which provided reversal of the electric field and automatic membrane cleaning. Today, EDR is widely used to economically treat water supplies which are challenging for other technologies to process and where water recovery up to 95% is required.
The ability to remove minerals and salts provides a solution to convert previously unusable waters to high purity resources for drinking water or high purity industrial uses. |
