QualitySeal Polyester Ring Panel and Link Filters
"Quality Seal" Ring Panel filters are constructed of two layers of polyester material heat sealed around an internal wire grid support. The graduated density and tackification of media combines high dust retention with good efficiency. The internal wire support is heavy gauge steel to withstand high air velocity. Polyester overlap around the support wire offers a self supporting positive seal to eliminate bypass. "Quality Seal" Link filters are a connected series of ring panel filters, preventing bypass between filters.
QualitySeal Polyester Pads and Rolls
We offer an array of "Quality Seal" polyester medias, each with a unique blend of fibers, binders, and tackifiers to meet a broad range of HVAC and paint filtration needs. Available in pre-cut pads and slit rolls, or in master rolls, "Quality Seal" polyester medias are an economical choice.
QualitySeal Polyester Pads and Rolls
"Quality Seal" Cube Filters offer up to five times the filter area of a flat panel filter of the same face dimensions. This means longer service life and less maintenance time. Polyester overlap around the support wire offers a self supporting positive seal to eliminate bypass. "Quality Seal" cube filters are offered in many types of polyester media for use in particulate and paint overspray collection.

Polyamide fibres are synthetic fibres made from linear macromolecules obtained from the polycondensation of bi-functional components. The most industrially used polyamide fibres are Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6.
Nylon 6.6 is produced by the condensation polymerization of hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid, it is the nylon for antonomasia and the most popular.
Nylon 6 is produced by the condensation polymerization of caprolactuam.
At first sight Nylon 6 and 6.6 do not differ from each other when compared at ambient temperature. But increasing the temperature the tenacity reduces progressively until it is completely zero at 215°C for Nylon 6 and at 255°C for Nylon 6.6.
Characteristics of polyamide fibre
- Resistance to wear
- High elastic recovery
- Easy to dye
- Good colour fastness
- Easy to maintain
- Limited dimensional stability
- High Creep
- Sensitive to chemical reagents
- Poor resistance to high temperatures

ACS HEK-series compact rigid bag filters are manufactured using the latest mini-pleat technology. The pleated filter packs are produced from high efficiency, water-repellent glass fibre paper, finely pleated and spaced to maximise surface area. The packs are assembled in a V-formation and sealed in a rigid supporting frame. This design provides high efficiency filtration in air conditioning systems where space is limited and high air volume is required. It also allows for an extended service life, capable of withstanding high air turbulence and vibration which is equally effective in high humidity conditions. The HEK/GT-series is specially designed for high burst-pressure installations such as gas turbines.

HERDING®-sinter plate filter for surface filtration grant clean gas values of < 1 mg/m³, even with dusts of D50 < 1µm. The matrix consists of sintered polyethylene PE. An additional PTFE-coating gets into the pores of the PE-basic body and forms a micro-porous, non-sticking. This combined material is most extensively chemical resistant. The HERDING®-sinter plate filters are extremely stable in structure, rigid, water resistant and only need low-maintenance. The average useful life of a Herding ® filter can even exceed 10 years.
HERDING® sinter plate filters show a very high efficiency of separation and environmental compatibility. The filters can be recycled without any problems, no toxic waste has to be disposed off.
By using these filter elements in HERDING® HSL-units there is an optimum combination of positive attributes like: compactness, optimum flow behavior, ideal dust emission and an extensive operational safety, resulting from the rigidity of the matrix and of no wear and tear against abrasive media. At regular intervals or at pre-determined differential pressure the filter elements are cleaned on-line by a jet-pulse.
The filter elements are fixed only by a single screw – which makes maintenance easy and saves times. On request antistatic or even special design, e.g. for using cooling lubricants or aerosoles are possible. HERDING®-DELTA-filter are future-oriented; already today they meet what tomorrow’s environment and legislation will require. So in fact the separation efficiency shows a much better value than required by the BIA-certificate, regarding dust classification M.

Cages / Retainers
Pulse-jet style baghouses are designed to utilize fabric filter bags with internal support structures commonly referred to as cages. Cages provide a means of holding the filter bag open during the particulate collection cycle. Cages must be strong to withstand the pressure from the filter bag exerted during the particulate collection cycle.
Additionally, cages must be selected with the proper structure design to conform to the fabric requirements. Gas stream chemistry will determine whether special metals or special coatings will be required to reduce or eliminate corrosion to the cages' metal surfaces. Cage sizes, both length and diameter, can be crucial to the success or failure of the filter bag.
The strongest filter bag cage for pulse-jet baghouses is known as the "rigid wire" cage. It is designed to provide uniform support to the overall length of the fabric filter, utilizing "stringer" wires that are equally spaced around the circumference of the cage. Each stringer wire is then welded to support rings that are spaced along the length of the cage. The diameter of these rings plus the wire gauge of the stringers determines the overall diameter of the cage. Special cage tops, such as roll band and roll flange styles, are also welded to the stringer wires; thereby developing a strong internal assembly from which to attach the cage and filter bag to the baghouse tubesheet. The cage bottom is either interlocked to a stringer ring or welded to the stringers. Either method is equally sufficient for support.
