For over 30 years, our magnet lifters have been a mainstay for operator safety when using mechanical power presses. Using a magnetic lifter allows machine operators to feed and retrieve blanks, stampings or formed metal and steel parts without placing their hands in the point of operation. OSHA recognizes the use of such hand tools and notes that they should be used in conjunction with appropriate guards and machine safeguarding devices.
Today, magnet lifters are used in conjunction with laser and plasma metal cutting machinery. Our magnetic lifters are extremely helpful to remove both cut parts and scrap parts from the cutting deck.
Especially useful have been the custom magnetic tools that All-Vac has made for its customers, including handle lengths that are both shorter and longer than our standard sizes. We have also reconfigured the placement of the magnets to suit particular applications, for example placing magnets side to side rather than in a row.

MAGVACU® COMBIGRIPPER
The MagVacu® combigripper uses a combination of magnetic and vacuum techniques for the handling of (perforated) sheet up to a thickness of 12 mm.
Re-tooling for different products is not necessary so that more types of products can be handled on unmanned machines. The Combigripper is also twice as powerful as, and safer than, conventional vacuum systems. The magnet pulls the steel plate onto the vacuum suction cup so that it fits neatly onto it. This means that no vacuum can leak away around the edge of the suction cup

The vacuum suction spiders SSP serve both to chain robots in presses and bending centers and to automate plastic, injection molding and swage machines. The suction spiders are also used in the wood/plastics sector and for water jet, laser and die cutting/nipple machines.
The suction spiders permit order picking in storage and distribution centers with robotic palletizers and industrial robots. The typical applications include metal profiles, circuit boards, stones, sheet products, car body parts, glass and ceramic parts, solar panels, non-rigid workpieces, and much more.
An ideal selection of suction pads, area grippers, magnets or mechanical grippers, together with plungers, holders and profiles, as well as valve technology with sensors, make the modular system possible. Depending on the requirement, various vacuum generators (vacuum pump, vacuum blower, ejector) are available. For quick adjustability or fixed alignment, circuit board separation, workpiece retrieval or collision protection, there are various options.

Liquid metal transport ladles
The ladles are designed to transport liquid metal by means of forklift or overhead crane. The maximal temperature of transporting metal is:
* in case of zinc 520°C
* in case of aluminium 800°C
The ladle can be transported using either the overhead crane or forklift. Having transported, the ladle’s content can be pour out by tilting by means of mechanic gear.

Space restrictions, a frequent concern in web installations, can often be overcome by turning the web to allow for stacked equipment. However, conventional turner bars or sweat rolls require physical contact which can damage the web surface and cause web creasing. MEGTEC offers a better solution -- MEGTEC Air Turns.
MEGTEC Air Turns use a cushion of air to float the web as it is turned. No surface-to-surface contact is required. Productivity is improved over traditional turner bars because marking and other contact-related defects are eliminated. Air Turns are a safe, effective and reliable method for changing web direction.
Air Turns can be designed to operate smoothly at web tensions as low as 0.25 PLI and as high as 5 PLI. The unit's lateral sectors permit selective air pressure adjustment across its entire width, allowing the Air Turn to compensate for cambered webs and uneven tensions. A sensor automatically adjusts supply air to maintain consistent web-to-surface clearance. The result: excellent transport with no drift or flutter.

PalletPal Pallet Rotator / Inverter
With the ability to handle pallet loads measuring up to 48" x 48" x 60" high, the Southworth PalletPal Pallet Inverter is a simple, rugged machine designed to invert entire pallet loads. The pressure adjustable clamping mechanism easily secures loads up to 4,400 pounds and rotates them 180 degrees on a massive anti-friction turret bearing. Here are just a few uses:

Automated paper roll handling, combined with MEGTEC's "no-operator-presence" flying pasters offer significant benefits to web printers to improve their overall productivity and return on investment.
Paper represents 50-70% of total web printing costs. Even a small reduction in paper waste can yield a significant cost saving. Manual paper roll handling can be a major cause of waste resulting from damage to rolls in transit to the paster, excessive slab waste, and the moving and storing of unwrapped rolls on the floor. Poor splice preparation resulting in a web break is another avoidable waste cause. Measurement of roll, wrap, slab and core waste allows paper consumption to be monitored.
