Ventilation of tanks for hydraulic and lubrication systems, and gearboxes.
General
The oil levels in the tanks of hydraulic systems are subject to continuous
variation due to temperature changes and the operation of cylinders and
pressure vessels.
In order to prevent over pressure in the tanks, an exchange of air with
the external atmosphere is necessary. By the use of a ventilating filter, the
outside air that is drawn in is filtered and the ingress of dust is therefore
prevented.
Special features
The ventilation openings are designed so that dust on the surface of the
professional tank is not drawn in, and that the ingress of spray and rainwater is largely
prevented.
The use in marine applications presents no problem due to the use of
synthetic materials and stainless steel.
Design
Flow direction bi-directional (air IN/OUT). The star-shaped pleating of the filter material results in:

MAHLE crankcase ventilation systems reliably clean the gases contaminated with oil mist from the crankcase. The oil consumption can therefore be reduced further and the emission limits fulfilled. The oil mist separator integrated in the crankcase ventilation serves to separate the gas and fluid components. The separated oil is then returned to the oil circuit and the cleaned air supplied to the intake system.

Application
Controlling the oil level in hydraulic oil or lubricant reservoirs
Construction and function
ARGO-HYTOS oil level dipsticks are robust semicircular metal rods with an O-ring professional seal.
A mounting bolt with a suitable hole is supplied with each dipstick. Dipsticks are available in various lengths, with various markings, and with various mounting bolts specifications (see selection chart).

Mounting
The bolt supplied with the oil level dipstick is installed either in a separate threaded hole or in an already existing mounting hole for an in-tank professional filter. This eliminates the need of an extra mounting hole. If used as a filter mounting bolt, care should be taken to provide a proper seal between the tank, the filter and the mounting bolt. |

Vertical Professional filter Separator
The Plenty Vertical Filter Separator will remove 100% of all droplets 8-10 microns and larger and 99.5% of all droplets ½-8 microns in size.
It will also remove 100% of all solid particles, 3 microns and larger 99% of all particles ½-3 microns in size.
These operating efficiencies apply over the entire flow range from maximum design down to virtually zero flow.
The first stage of the filter separator consists of a number of glass fibre coalescer /filter elements through which the wet gas passes.
The small liquid drops carried in the gas stream are trapped within the glass fibres of the element and coalesce to form drops 100 to 200 times larger than the original size.
These drops pass through the element wall and are carried forward by the gas stream to the second stage vane type separator.
The second stage consists of a vane type impingement separator, which operates exactly as described for vane separator.

BELL In-line Professional filters grant a high protection to the most delicate components of an oleodinamic system. Placed in the site under pressure, they keep the particles sucked or produced by the pump up to a size of 10 micron.
These filters are normally applied in addition to the standard filters in suction or release, as a last barrier of protection before the entrance in directional cocks, flow regulating valves and all those components which require a high grade of absolute filtering.
The body is made in a treated aluminium alloy to obtain a minimum dimension and weight.
The filtering element, instead, is made in synthered bronze with a conic shape to resist to high pressure without collapsing. |

The Simplex T Type extends the range of S type professional filters to higher pressures, suitable for both liquid and gas applications and available with bolted or quick release type covers.

"Over the years the Fluidcotrolterminal has taken a very significant role in condition monitoring of fluid power systems.
Based on the experience with this combined unit, Bühler is introducing a more advanced product with a greater integration of functions.
The Multiterminal integrates the function of a tanktop return-line professional filter with advanced two stage capacity monitor and as an option, an automated filling port.
The design allows for very flexible adaption to individual application. The Multiterminal consists of a cast aluminum baseplate with integrated return-line filterhead. The head offers three different G 1 inlet ports situated 90° and in addition an G 1/2 filling port. There is also provision for a cartridge tap where automated filling is required. Two sample ports are provided for alternate use plus one sample port in the return line.
The base plate has an interface flange to DIN 24550/T2. The flange can take any suitable breather filter or can be equipped with Nivovent units from either series 7 or 8. These units feature a qualified breather filter with integrated level controls and temperature display plus controls as an option.
