DURBAL heavy-duty rod ends with integral self-aligning ball bearings, Series BRM,BRF,PM,PF
This design is especially suitable for high speeds, large swiveling angles or rotating movements with relatively low or medium loads. Prominent technical features are the low bearing friction, sealing against rough dirt penetration by means of shields on both sides. Under normal operating conditions the rod ends are maintenance-free. A Grease nipple is provided for lubrication during rough service and maximum loads. To avoid incompatibility with the initial lubrication, we recommend lubricating with a calcium-complexsoap- grease or Polyrex EP2. A special heat treatment procedure matches the rod end housing raceway hardness to the antifriction bearings, ensuring the same time high stability with changing loads.

DURBAL heavy-duty rod ends with a integral maintenance-free spherical plain bearing, Series BEM, BEF, EM, EF
In many cases DURBAL heavy-duty rod ends with integrated spherical plain bearing serve their purpose. They are primarly used for small swiveling or tilting movements at low speeds. They stand out for their high loadability and can also be used for shock loads. The ball slides on a composite bearing shell consisting of a glass fiber-filled nylon/teflon component. This design ensures an absolutely maintenance-free rod end. DURBAL heavy-duty plain bearing rod ends have a slight initial stress and virtually no clearance. The composite material used has a favorable secondary advantage in that it absorbs any foreign particles and embeds them so that no damage can occur. The joint balls of DURBAL heavy-duty rod ends with integrated spherical plain bearings are hard chrome plated. This reliable corrosion protection ensures that the function of the rod end will not be affected by a corroded ball surface under humid operating conditions.

DURBAL heavy-duty rod ends with integral self-aligning roller bearings, Series BRTM, BRTF
The design based on the structure of a self-aligning roller bearing is preferably used for high speed, large tilting angles or rotating motion with medium loads. Compared to rod ends with selfaligning ball bearings, rod ends with selfaligning roller bearings have essentially higher basic load ratings. This design is equipped with a cage to minimize the rolling friction and heat built-up. These rod ends are under normal operating conditions maintenance-free. A Grease nipple is provided for lubrication in case of rough operation and maximum load. To avoid incompatibility with the initial lubrication, we recommend lubricating with a calcium-complexsoap- grease or Polyrex EP2. Shields on both sides prevent dirt particles from penetrating into the bearing. The rod ends with selfaligning roller bearings are, just as the design with self-aligning ball bearings, subjected to a special heat treatment procedure to match the racway hardness to the antifriction bearings, ensuring at the same time a high stability with changing loads and temperature.

Clevises are some of the most frequently used linking elements in industry. These parts can be found everywhere where simple movements are required, e.g. linear pulling, pushing or even axle offset compensation.
In addition to standard clevises made of steel, there are also clevises made of stainless steel. The clevis specialist, mbo Osswald, provides a particularly wide application range with a whole assortment of different corrosion resistant clevises.
mbo Osswald, a specialist for linking elements based in Kuelsheim-Steinbach, Germany, caters for these increased safety requirements with its stainless steel products. Turned and milled parts like clevises, bolts, and angle joints are made from alloyed chrome nickel steel 1.4305 (X8CrNiS18-9). These products are far more resistant to corrosion than comparable parts and can therefore be used without any problems even under difficult conditions. Compared with pure chrome steels, frequently employed for price reasons in the manufacture of linking parts, mbo's stainless steel parts are distinguished by their improved pitting resistance. This is only achieved by the interaction of chrome and nickel. This sulphur-alloyed steel boasts particularly good cutting properties, and hence offers the ideal preconditions for individualised surface geometries, with its usability depending on the ambient influences.
By using stainless steel components the user benefits from a longer useful life and takes a crucial step towards greater production dependability.

Wire Guides and Straightening Rollers - type A or AT
Field of Application :
The straightening of cables, strips and wires is performed in steps with successive stages until the final product is obtained. To rationalize the handling between the different steps the material is stocked on reels or on bobbins and takes forms which are not natural.
For every production step, it is therefore necessary to carry out the inverse process by taking the material off its support. At that moment, the straightening operation takes place. It may be divided into three steps:
The straightening, consisting of putting the material back into its original shape. The operation is carried out by the first straightening rollers.
The removal of the residual constraint in the material, due to the winding on the bobbin. This operation is performed by the rollers located in the central part of the straightener.
The forming of the wire carried out by the last rollers on the straightener, generally placed at an angle of 90°compared to the angle of the first rollers.

The SMITH-TRAX® special duty track roller bearings are machined from high-alloy steel and are case-hardened for maximum longevity. These bearings are fitted with deep-groove ball bearings or tapered roller bearings to handle both high radial and thrust load applications.

Track rollers with Gothic arch groove - type SG
The function of series SG rollers is same as the series LFR rollers. But they are mainly used in the flat track and in the condition required compact structure. After rollers are installed to the slider, the shaft will be not or seldom over the roller's side planes.
|
|
Track rollers are self-retaining, single or double row units with particularly thick-walled outer rings. These bearings can support axial forces in both directions as well as high radial forces. The bearing outer rings have a crowned or cylindrical outside surface. Designs with a crowned outside surface are used where there is misalignment in relation to the raceway and edge stresses must be avoided. The track rollers are available with an inner ring, with a stud and with a plastic tyre on the outer ring.

- in various matters (nitrile, butile, rémaline, néoprêne, linatex, noppe, rubber...)
- on the smooth surface, grooved, rhombus or with barbs
- in various thicknesses
