Convert now to cutting reliability at higher speed
At Sandvik Hard Materials we regard the cutting function as a single system that forms an integral part of the converting line. Using Sandvik CRC (Carbide Rotary Cutters), your converting line will face no restrictions in the cutting function (up to 1800 pieces/min).
Sandvik CRC are designed on the basis of a powder metallurgy process. The resulting material is both harder and stiffer with superior thermal conductivity compared with steel which makes cemented carbide ideal for rotary cutters. It is possible to resharpen the cutters several times during their lifetime. |

For cutting purposes CeramTec has developed a high-performance material zirconia - a special zirconia ceramic (TZP). It stands out from other materials with its extremely high cutting edge strength and very good bending strength and toughness. The gear grinding wheel is profiled with a rotary diamond dressing tool. TYROLIT offers gear dressers for all common dressing systems.
Rotary diamond dressers are produced with a single layer of diamond using a positive plating process. Profile modifications, such as a chamfer and tip relief are integrated in the dressing tool. |

As one of the largest manufacturers of gear cutting tools worldwide, our tool manufacturing programme features a wide range of shaper cutters, branded Samputensili, Fellows and Star SU, including disk-type shaper cutters, deep counterbore-type shaper cutters and shank-type shaper cutters. Our shaper cutters are generally ground for pre-finishing and finishing operations, although in certain cases they may also be supplied unground.

Used primarily for cutting metal and non-ferrous metals. Milled and set teeth allow for better clearance while cutting metal. Using a larger tooth (6, 8 tpi) allows for more efficient cutting in hard board, wood and other wood composites.
High strength steel cutting edges are hardened to 65 Rc and electron-beam welded to a flexible backer steel offering the flexibility required for longer blades. |
