To support and complete the Gerardi Modular Workholding System a more and more strategic and important role is played by the range of Modular Tubstones and Sub-plates.
They are manufactured in the most different shapes and versions, anyway always provided in one solid cast iron cast G30 and with double stress relieving heat treatment. Just recently they are available in Aluminum too.

The Multiflex series vises are a total new concept of modular clamping system able to maximize the machine table capacity and increase its productivity (reduced dead times).
This system is designated for clamping several workpieces at the same time on the machine tool table, thus reducing tool changeover times.
This modular system makes a wide variety of clamping arrangements possible, wheter for several workpieces (equal or different) or for custom application. The base could in fact be clamped to the machine table while the jaws positioning, number or type could vary according to workholding needs (from 1 to 9 pcs. clamping possibility on the same vise base, see page 6-26).

The Ball Lock Mounting System was designed to locate and lock two flat stationary surfaces in a machine tool. High holding forces - low cost:
The pneumatic Clamping Element MK.
The MK series is the classic Zimmer clamping element.
The patented wedge slide gear achieves high supporting forces. The pressure medium moves the wedge slide gear in a longitudinal direction. The resulting transverse movement presses contact sections with high force against the free surfaces of the section rail guide. The MK is clamped (closed) by pneumatic pressure.
MKS-type:
As extension for the MK-range it exists an element that works with spring-loaded energy storage. It opens with opening pressure of >5,5bar |

The high performance toggle action clamps are used to clamp mid to large size vehicle parts in Body-in-White operations. The oblong design of the cylinder and the narrow clamp head allow optimal access for weld guns and the fully enclosed mechanics provide a shield from welding slag.

Precision and modularity united to an exceptional price-quality relationship assured the GERARDI Co. success, the company has become in few years the Europe leader in the modular vises manufacturing. GERARDI new thinking has made others manufacturers to produce copies, but there is no other manufacturer with such a broad program or which has developed such a complete BLOCKING MODULAR SYSTEM thinking. Often the positioning accuracy and the set up fastness seem to be two non-compatible characteristic, but not at all with GERARDI system: the built in, fixed reference points give both precision and short set up times: moreover the broadest assortment program available allows you to obtain with standard solutions even the fixtures you thought special.

The media duct of Zero.Point.Systems® is with a very simple mechanism and integrable in any cylinders of Zero.Point.Systems®. The media ducts goal is to transfer any fluids (water, hydr., oil) or gases, from pallet to pallet.
The opening of the media duct is mechanically and automatically during the starting release of the cylinder and inversely during the unrelease of the cylinder, the media ducts is simultaneously closed.

OK-VISE rotary columns are made of aluminium and they come with steel made corner clamps. They work as a trunion unit between indexer and a tail support. This new system makes efficient use of machinable area a reality, ultimately leading to savings in tool changes, less operator interventions and extended cycle times. Most important feature is a possibility to use subplates resulting to a remarkable cut down in machine stop times which is critical especially in the vertical machining centers.
Parts fixturing probably represents the best value in today´s metalworking technology, if you calculate the cost of a CNC machine tool, the cutting tools, tool-holders and tool-changer with both the programming and the design software and compare these investments to the cost of your workholding equipment. centrinos – Self-centring vice for small parts
Modular Structure
Despite of its compact length of only 170 mm, centrinos provides a large clamping range. Work-pieces and parts ranging in size from 0 – 152 mm can be held with clamping forces up to 20 kN with a torque of only 65Nm. centrinos can be used to clamp raw materials or as a precision vice with an accuracy to within 0.02 mm.
The standard version can be enhanced by the addition of raised 5-axis basic jaws for optimum access and with the appropriate attachment jaws.
Fully covered
Due to its specially developed slide geometry with guideways of 150 mm length, centrinos is the first truly covered self-centring vice. Malfunction due to dirt and chips belong to the past.
Operation from both sides
The design of the centrinos allows it to be operated from either side.
Base integrated directly into palette
The unique new design enables centrinos to be integrated directly into exchange palettes, such as EROWA or System 3R, without the need for a base plate. This is not only advantageous in terms of saving weight and costs, but also reduces the height of the unit and thereby increasing its stability. |
