The various HARDPOINT machine versions can be used for superfinishing of hardened and unhardened rotationally
symmetrical components. This means turning, grinding, drilling and rubbing on one machine, in a single chucking. Depending on the model, the workpieces can also be transferred to another machining unit (multi machine cell).

Vertical Turning and Grinding Center: VSC 400 DS / DDS
These turning and grinding centers combine the advantages of vertical hard turning with those of grinding. They hard pre-turn, grind internally and externally and load and unload workpiece-specific and with great flexibility.

The combined machining system S242 combines the technologies of cylindrical grinding and hard turning in an ideal way. Ball Matic are machining centers to turn and grind the sphere of ball valves. Ball Matic line consists of 4 different models depending on the different maximum internal diameter of the ball (in inches): Ball Matic 24", 36", 48" and 64".
Depending on the Ball Matic model they are with a single bed (Ball Matic 24" and 36"), double bed (Ball Matic 48") or three beds (Ball Matic 64").
The turning unit consist on a Turret (Ball Matic 24") or a Blade (Ball Matic 36", 48" and 64"). The machines are also equipped with a workpiece probe to check the center of the ball. For the Ball Matic 36" and 48" model it is also available an Automatic tool changer for the turning tools.
The grinding operation is performed with grinding Cups where the Stone supports are fixed. Thanks to this unique system the best results in terms of geometry of the ball are obtained. The clamping system of the cups is of hydraulic type in order to facilitate the changing necessary machine balls with different diameters. For the Ball Matic 24" model a two position Automatic cup changer is available as option.
In the Ball Matic 36", 48" and 64" models the grinding unit is equipped with a vertical axis in to facilitate and to make possible a rapid alignment of the grinding unit with the ball center.
All the Ball Matic machines are completely enclosed with Protections equipped with sliding doors for an easy access to the machine. The high performances of these machines is also proved by the fact that they are used from the most important Ball Valves Producers all around the world.

Economically, grinding is the most efficient solution among fine machining processes. Hard turning - on the other hand - is preferred in cases where the quantity of removed material is higher.

The NT6600 DCG integrated mill turn center for large workpieces in all industries, including aircraft parts, construction machinery, and automobile parts, was developed to incorporate machining capabilities that surpass those of machining centers and lathes into a single, ultimate machine. The NT1000 has a maximum turning diameter of ö 370 mm and maximum turning length of 400 mm, and employs Mori Seiki's original technologies of DDM(Direct Drive Motor) and ORC (Octagonal Ram Construction).
As measures against thermal displacement, the headstock of Spindle 1 has a mechanism in which the center of the spindle always stays the same height, and both Spindle 1 and the tool spindle use a high-accuracy cooling system.

The FT45 model is a milling-boring machine with movable column, which is equipped with two independent units:
1.a common unit for all versions, consisting of a ram and a column, which has two controlled independent longitudinal motions;
2.a cross travel unit, which is located in right-angle position to the first unit, available in two versions, i.e. with fixed table (FT45TF) and with rotary table (FT45TG).
The machine structures are made of Italian Meehanite cast-iron and have been subject to a stress relieving treatment. The system utilizes modern electronical technologies so to ensure long lifetime and high reliability of the mechanical and electronical system.
The large dimensioning and the installed power rates of the machine permit machining of big parts. The control system and the electronic and hydraulic axes-compensation systems permit highest accuracy.

The model MAF45 is a high-precision milling-boring machine with a fixed column of compact and sturdy monolithic structure.
The machine structures are made of Italian Meehanite cast-iron and have been subject to a stress relieving treatment. The system utilizes modern electronical technologies so to ensure long lifetime, high reliability of the mechanical and electronical system and high accuracy features.
The MAF45 model has to be considered a universal machine due to its controlled axes, four of the linear and one of the rotary type, for the TG version. The capability of machining more or less complex workpieces reduces considerably the number of work setups and therefore the machine standstill.
Furthermore, there is the possibility to equip the machine with an automatic tool-changer and a pallet-changer.
