Burnishing plants are multi-tank machines covered by a hook and surmounted by one or more translation carts. The complete treatment generally consists of: degreasing, rinsing, pickling, rinsing, burnishing and in the end oiling or drying. The translation carts picks up the baskets containing the workpieces and convey them into the treatment tanks, generally according to the first-in first-out logic, which means that the first basket to enter is the first basket to come out. Once the production speed has been set, the plant conveys all the baskets inside the several treatment tanks step by step. Alternatives and options that may be applied to this series of machines are many and various. Here are some examples:
1 automatic load and unload
2 deoiler
3 flue gas scrubber
4 check rinsing liquids
5 integrated cleaning systems
6 analysis and supervision for the process certification.
For artisan and non-industrialized applications, single - tank machines of our “Agito” series may be supplied.

Process Description
The Combustion Wire Spray process employs a set of drive rolls powered by an air turbine or an electric motor to draw a metal alloy wire through the combustion spray gun. At the gun nozzle, fuel gas of acetylene, propane, hydrogen or MAPP is mixed with oxygen in precise volumetric proportions using a siphon plug and ignited to create a flame, which is then shaped at the gun's air cap by compressed air. The metal wire is fed concentrically into the flame, melted and atomized by the compressed air, and the molten droplets are propelled towards a prepared surface where they solidify and bond to the substrate to form a coating.
Combustion wire spray is a common choice for machine element repair and corrosion coatings. Either hard (higher melt temperature) or soft (lower melt temperature) wires can be used.
Features of the Combustion Wire Spray Process:
- Applies a range of metallic alloys and pure metals for restoration, corrosion coatings and other purposes
- Configurations from economical manual systems to fully automated production systems are available
- Can be portable for on-site coatings
- High spray rates with low gas consumption
- Coatings can be machined to final dimensions and finish
- Masking of areas that should not be coated is possible
- Coating of internal geometries is possible
- Very simple to operate and maintain

Tantec's corona Treater is for surface treatment of plastics and metal. The simplest definition of corona treating is that it is a way to increase the surface tension of a material. Increased surface tension means that other materials—such as a laminating film or printing ink—will adhere better to the treated material.
Corona treatment, in effect, chemically roughens the surface (raising the surface tension), allowing it to grab onto the ink, coating, or adhesive being applied. In reality, the resulting chemical bond that occurs is better than a simple mechanical bond with the surface.

In order to improve the adhesion of the lacquer on the construction unit, the construction unit must be degreased and treated with a Phoshatierung. Thus also a higher corrosion resistance is reached.
For the different treatment steps there are solutions, with which the parts over spraying technology are treated or with large parts over dipping technology.
The main treatment steps needed for it can look as follows:
Degrease
Pickle
Activate
Phosphatize
Drying systems
Between each step single-step or two-stage rinsing takes place for neutralization.
All medium-affecting parts are manufactured made of stainless and acid-proof high-grade steel. The water consumption is minimized by an optimal filtration and cascade control. The heating of the baths can be brought in electrically, by means of gas or as technical warmth.
Complete and unloading in more automatic or part automatic variant can be taken over by us.
The plants are individually planned, designed and installed at the customer. Security gives you decades long experience in this area of getting a solution adapted to their needs.

Angstrom Sciences magnetrons are recognized as the new standard of the sputtering industry. Because, in addition to the advanced features provided by the Angstrom AdvantageTM, they offer a host of other performance efficiencies as well.
Versatile Design
Their ultra compact design makes them ideal for virtually any new or retrofit application including the most complex multiple-cathode cluster or the smallest vacuum chamber. Low-impedance heads provide RF, DC, mid frequency DC, and pulse DC power capability. All utilities are maintained at atmosphere and are accessed through standard o-ring compression fittings for ease of installation in any vacuum system.
Lower Pressure, Higher Power
All our magnetrons operate at extremely low pressure, in the 10-4 Torr range and can deliver practical power densities in excess of 300 watts per square inch.
High Rates and Performance
That means they can coat a greater area for their cathode size than other magnetrons. So you can maximize both your coating zone and your target utilization without the kind of trade-off in rate that other magnetrons force you to make.
Greater Performance
Yet these same advanced planar magnetrons can give you target utilization as high as 50%. Our magnetrons also deliver much greater uniformity of deposition – routinely in the 3 to 5% range. One of our research customers has even documented uniformity of 0.1% with Angstrom Sciences magnetrons.
Full Range of Sizes
Angstrom Sciences circular magnetrons are available in 1-16 inch target sizes. The linear magnetrons are available in target widths of 1.5 to 12 inches and in target lengths from 1 to 20 feet.

Electrodes and nozzles for plasma spray guns
Plasma spray nozzles Tougher demands on thermal barrier and wear coatings have made plasma spraying one of the most widely used processes within the coating industry. Electrodes and nozzles play an important role in the plasma gun assembly, as the electric arc is generated between them.
PLANSEE is a leading producer of tungsten/copper parts. Based on our experience, we offer the complete product range of electrodes and nozzles for all known plasma spray guns. Due to back-casting with copper, a special material joining process at PLANSEE, electrodes and nozzles perform better during operation than e.g. brazed components. Our production program includes electrodes and nozzles for certain gun types available with or without the corresponding O-rings.
PLANSEE strongly supports the development of thorium-free tungsten qualities and offers lanthanated tungsten inserts for electrodes and nozzles.
* High resistance against burn-off combined with high electrical conductivity
* Good thermal conductivity
* High temperature resistance

Process Description
Plasma Spray is perhaps the most flexible of all of the thermal spray processes as it can develop sufficient energy to melt any material. Since it uses powder as the coating feedstock, the number of coating materials that can be used in the plasma spray process is almost unlimited. A high frequency arc is ignited between an anode (nozzle) and a cathode (electrode). Process gases (generally mixtures of argon, nitrogen, hydrogen and helium) flowing between them is ionized to become a plume of hot plasma gas with that exceed the surface of the sun of 6,600 °C to 16,600 °C (12,000 °F to 30,000 °F). When the coating material is injected into the gas plume, it is melted and propelled towards the target substrate.
Features of the Atmospheric Plasma Spray Process:
- Large choice of coating materials, including metals, alloys, ceramics, cermets, carbides and others.
- Coating systems are possible, using layers of different materials.
- Produces surfaces for a wide variety of applications, including resistance to many different types or wear and corrosion mechanisms, desirable thermal or electrical characteristics, and surface restoration and dimensional control.
- Excellent control of coating thickness and surface characteristics, such as porosity and hardness .
- No heat affected zone or component distortion.
- High deposition rate.
- High bond of the coating to the substrate.
- Coating of complex geometries.
- Easy masking of areas that should not be coated.
- Process can be fully automated.
- Coating of internal geometries possible
