Carbolite’s LGP range of industrial batch ovens sets the standard for a wide range of industrial processing applications
The ovens provide excellent performance and reliability
Standard chamber capacities range from 500 – 14,000 litres, at temperatures up to 250°C, 425°C and 625°C
A long working oven life is ensured by a ferritic stainless steel interior
The external construction is of mild steel section clad with zinc coated steel sheet
High thermal efficiency is achieved through the use of low thermal mass insulation
Air circulation is critical for efficient and uniform heating and horizontal air flow is achieved via heavy duty impellers at 1400rpm driven by three phase electric motors (vertical airflow is available on selected models if required)
A temperature uniformity of +5°C to within 100mm of the walls and roof and 150mm of the doors and floor is achieved
Most models are fitted with side hinged doors, either single or double, depending on the size of the oven
Vertically rising doors are fitted as standard on large volume 600°C ovens (over 1m3) and are optional on other models

AUREL A206 Dryer/Curing Oven system
Description
The AUREL A206 dryer system is special designed for predrying of pastes in thick film technology.
Applications
• IR Drying of Thick Film pastes
• IR Curing of adhesives and polimeric pastes
Prior to being submitted to be firing process, substrates with screened-on inks/pastes must be predryed to evaporate the solvents.
Infrared heat is the only heating method available by which thick film pastes can be properly dryed with optimum results.
This is because infrared heat waves penetrate the material and dry the inside of the material first, then dry outwardly to the surface.
Convenction heat causes the outside of the paste to dry first forming a film through which it is difficult for the solvent within to pass.
The solvents actually become partially trapped and as they eventally are released cause cracks in the surface of the material.
Consequently the surface is irregular, resulting in reduced conductivity or inconsistent resistivity.
The new model A206 predrying oven was designed to prevent the problems outlined.
It's design criteria are based on extensive experience in thick film technology, to provide the user with a machine that assures optimum results.

PTC - Long Narrow Load
The PTC ovens offer high performance in a configuration well-suited for heating long and narrow loads such as tubing and extrusions. The forced-air convected ovens feature horizontal airflow with adjustable louvers to assure uniform airflow even with varying load conditions.
A space-conscious footprint is combined with removable end caps to allow placement of several ovens end- to-end. The marinite end caps may also be machined to insert instruments or tooling. Digital, three-mode PID control allows precise temperature control while a separate high limit control with manual reset provides over-temperature protection.
Designed with silicone door seals and positive-latching clamps to hold the door securely in place, the PTC ovens come equipped with a dolly for easy moving.
Application: burn-in and qualification testing of down-hole electronic logging equipment for the petroleum industry.

The Hearson Tobacco Oven
The Hearson Tobacco Oven has been designed to meet the stringent requirements of the industry for moisture testing. The oven provides a continuous flow of pre-heated air which passes over tared sample pans for drying purposes.
The unit comprises a cylindrical drying chamber in which is placed a stand carrying 12 circular copper trays; each tray is designed to take sis stainless steel sample pans (TKE186). The top of the drying chamber is enclosed by a hinged insulated lid. In the centre of the chamber is an air distribution tube through which pre-heated air passes over the pans to facilitate the drying process.
The drying chamber is enclosed in a second, larger chamber providing a combined water reservoir and steam boiler in which is housed a copper coil. An immersion heater maintains the water at boiling point. Surplus steam is discharged from the top of this chamber to an air cooled condenser, with the condensate returning by gravity to the reservoir, thus sustaining the water level.
An electrical blower at the base of the oven passes air through the heated copper coil; it then enters the drying chamber through the air distribution tube. After passing over the sample pans, the air escapes to atmosphere via the vent provided in the centre of the lid.
The oven is controlled using fused on/off switches for both the heater and air blower. An ammeter is fitted above each switch to indicate the combined load. Air flow through the drying chamber is regulated by a valve and measured by a rotameter calibrated over the range 2 to 20 litres/min.
