Tray blanks are positioned upright in the Tray Magazine. Each tray is separated by vacuum and is then transferred horizontally on carriers into the forming station. During transfer, hot-melt adhesive is applied to the blank, following which the forming plunger moves downwards, pushing the blank into the forming tool. The side flaps are folded during the downwards movement and pneumatically-driven folders then
secure the corners, so that the blank is fully formed around the plunger. The forming plunger is fixed size and replaceable, the forming
tool is adjustable. The Trayformer TF 400 can be easily combined with a case filling machine for vertical packing or the tray outfeed is via a
takeaway conveyor to a downstream loading section.

Forming Machines
FRT500-FRT700 FRB500-FRB700
The FR tray-box former machines are suitable to bundle products either in tray or in box with lid. Starting from a flat cardboard, they can handle both corrugated cardboard and simple paperboard.
COMMON FEATURES
Tray-box forming cycle
a) the flat cardboard is picked from the magazine and placed on a bucket chain conveyor;
b) the box is shaped in the tray forming unit: the front flap is kept open;
c) the pre-stacked products are inserted into the box through its open side. The front insertion of the product allows the use of a container (a tray or a box) whose dimensions are equal to those of the product to be bundled. Accuracy in packaging results is guaranteed even with delicate products;
d) if the box has already been shaped, the insertion of the products is made by means of a pick & place unit;
e) lid is closed - either by tucking it in or by gluing it - at next station.
The FRB and FRT machines run step-by-step, making use of different stations, whose number varies according to the customer's requests.
A wide range of functions is available: product insertion, literature (or other eventual items) insertion, visual control of the whole product flow, ink-jet printing, tuck-in or hot-melt closure.
Different types of products and collations can be handled both with FTR - FRB.
The designing solutions are always tailored to the customer's demands.

An automatic horizontal machine with intermittent operation, the FV40 shapes/fi lls/closes trays and display boxes with or without cover.
Intended to shape boxes in pressed cardboard, micro-undulated, PET or PVC starting from a fl at sheet picked up in the storage area, the machine can make various types of closures such as fl ap tuck, with adhesive tape or glue, and is extremely versatile in the packaging of various products such as bags, stickpacks, boxes, bottles, fl ow-packs, etc.
The tooted belts, the electronics and the brushless motors ensure perfect integrity of the box and of the product along with silent, harmonious operation of the entire machine.
The decidedly quick and easy format change (it requires only 15 minutes without any tools) is performed using snap-in parts that are adjusted by mobile devices with digital indicators. The balcony design reduces times for maintenance or for service if boxes or product form obstructions, while making it easier to work on the motor drive located back of the machine.
All of this is designed and constructed in compliance with GMP standards and in complete respect of the "friendly operation concept" which makes any work on or with the machine easier.

V/VL SERIES
V & VL are automatic tray loaders for loading vials onto plastic, metal or paperboard trays.
The tray loaders have been designed for installation in aseptic production environments and can have up to 2 loading positions, each accommodating 2 trays (positions are changed automatically when full).
By means of mechanical devices, trays are filled with vials in staggered rows and it is therefore possible to optimize the tray capacity and consequently the lyophiliser capacity.
A series of tray loading/unloading facilities have also been designed to meet the specific requirements of lyophilization lines, where the transfer operation of vials to and from the lyophiliser is a crucial part of the processing phase.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
- Minimum operator intervention required
- Mechanically driven movements
- Suitable for installation in clean room
- Specifically designed for small volume vials (vial feeding to the trays by means of a scroll)
