For higher speed presentation shrink wrapping it is necessary to move to a continuous motion style of wrapping, the side sealing machine. Wraps UK offers the Flexo500s which is capable of speeds up to 60 products per minute. The complete system consists of the shrink wrapper and a high capacity shrink tunnel which ensures perfect shrinking at high speed.
The product is fed into the side sealing shrink wrapper in the same way as the automatic L-sealer. The machine measures the length of the product being wrapped and a single sealing bar cuts and seals the film across the width of the machine. Then, instead of using an L shape to form the other side of the seal, a continuous motion cutting and sealing blade system produces the lateral seal.
The advantage that this provides is that almost any length of product can be wrapped. Since the machine spends less time sealing the film than a conventional L sealer, the film is almost continuously moving resulting in higher wrapping speeds.

The E-250 Automatic L-Bar Sealer is engineered for efficiency with logic and precision. As product is fed onto the conveyor, electric eyes measure and advance it to the centerfolded film and sealing area. W700-80-automatic-L-sealer
The L sealers offered range from the manual, chamber type, via semi automatic bench top systems through to fully automatic side seal L sealers capable of speeds over 120 packs per minute. Polyolefin film is used in combination with a heat shrink tunnel to provide a tight wrap around the product. Typical products can range from food products, toiletries and pharmaceuticals through to printed material.
The twin reel sleeve wrap machines are also available in manual and fully automatic configurations. The sleeve wrap is placed loosely around the product being wrapped which is then shrunk in a heat tunnel. Speeds up to 30 collations per minute are possible. The film used is Polythene and the resultant wrap leaves the ends of the pack exposed. Wraps UK is able to sleeve wrap individual products, such as a tray of cans or bottles as well as collate and wrap cartonned products.
Wraps UK has the same extensive engineering support as Marden Edwards and hence solutions can be tailor-made. Wraps UK also supplies wrapping film thereby ensuring that film and machine are well matched.

The APS-X is designed to wrap product in polyolefin and PVC shrink films at speeds of up to 28-30 packages per minute. Products are fed either automatically or manually onto the infeed conveyor of the machine. The conveyor carries the product into the infeed section of the wrapper where an electronic photo cell senses the presence of the product and activates a film advance system which allows the product to be fed into the seal area. Once the product is positioned properly the sealing system is activated to bring down the sealing head to seal and trim the film to complete the bag around the product. When the sealing cycle is complete, the seal head releases and a discharge conveyor is activated to remove the package from the seal area, making way for the next product. The discharge conveyor takes the product away from the sealing area and transfers it onto the shrink tunnel conveyor.

MODEL TS-4 LABORATORY HEAT SEALER

The TS-4 is a laboratory Heat Seal tester used to prepare Heat Seal samples for the measurement of Sealing Strength of flexible packaging films, film foil laminates, nonwovens and other substrates.
