Biofil PES
Incorporating a hydrophilic membrane, the Biofil cartridge has a unique mirrored asymmetric structure which gives the media added strength and very low clean pressure drops. This helps to ensure that cartridge integrity is maintained when repeatedly steam sterilised. The characteristics of the membrane also results in excellent resistance to hydrolysis, along with low protein binding and colour stripping. Furthermore Biofil PES cartridges have excellent chemical compatibility across the full range of pH values.
Biofil PES cartridges have been validated and are ideal for applications ranging from the production of beverages to the filtration of blood and serum. They compare favourably in many applications with alternative cartridges manufactured using Nylon, Cellulose and PVDF.

The Hilco TurboFlo Duplex Filter line is easy to operate and maintain with a low turning torque and no jacking of the sealing pads. Welded-in transfer valves and high flow synthetic elements save space, and flow is under the filter cartridge which does not impinge on the filter elements. With no flanges between the transfer valve and filter housing, there are fewer potential leak points.
Features includes:
• ASME Code construction
• O-ring sealed covers
• Coreless elements
• Standard carbon steel and 316 stainless steel
The TurboFlo Duplex Filter is also available in 1-1/2” to 8” inlet and outlet connections for flows up to 2000 gpm and pressures up to 5000 psi.

AAF AmerKleen filter cartridges are protected at all times by an all metal, filter housing. The AmerKleen housing is equipped with an anti-surge assembly consisting of a wire form attached to the back of each sealing frame. By holding the cartridge firmly in place, the housing protects it against turbo-surge. The AmerKleen cartridge is designed to be changed at the normal 90-day maintenance cycle, with an adequate safety margin should the locomotive encounter delays in servicing. When the time comes, installation is a fast and easy process. By the simple removal of two bolts and a sealing frame, the AmerKleen cartridge is front-loaded. Replacing the sealing frame automatically forms an air-tight seal. Normal air flow through the filter insures that all seals remain tight without the need for time-consuming alignment.

Oil Level Dipsticks , C4.0410/C4.0412/C4.0421/C4.0431/C4.0450/C4.0464
Application
Controlling the oil level in hydraulic oil or lubricant reservoirs
Construction and function
ARGO-HYTOS oil level dipsticks are robust semicircular metal rods with an O-ring seal.
A mounting bolt with a suitable hole is supplied with each dipstick. Dipsticks are available in various lengths, with various markings, and with various mounting bolts (see selection chart).
Special features
- The robust material withstands even the most severe operating conditions
- The integral O-ring provides a 100% tight seal
- A suitable dipstick mounting bolt can also replace one of the mounting bolts of an in-tank return or suction filter
Mounting
The bolt supplied with the oil level dipstick is installed either in a separate threaded hole or in an already existing mounting hole for an in-tank filter. This eliminates the need of an extra mounting hole. If used as a filter mounting bolt, care should be taken to provide a proper seal between the tank, the filter and the mounting bolt.

Filter elements can only be used with optimal economy if their ability to retain contamination is fully utilized without risk. Mechanical and electronic sensors integrated in the filters or retrofitted react to continuous changes in pressure resulting from changes in the degree of contamination. These changes are then indicated via pressure gage or visual and optoelectrical switch, depending on the version used. On suction filters the negative pressure is registered, on pressure filters differential pressure, and on return-line filters banking-up pressure. This enables the operator to determine the optimal time to change the filter elements without entailing any risk.

‘Becoil’ knitted mesh demisters.
In many industrial processes it is necessary to remove mist or spray droplets from air or gas streams in order to purify the gas, remove liquid which would contaminate the subsequent process, damage downstream equipment, constitute an undesirable atmospheric emission, or to recover a useful liquid product of the process.
'Becoil' Demisting Units are separators of the impingement type consisting of multiple layers of fabric knitted from metal or plastic monofilaments, crimped and than assembled so that the crimps cross in successive layers. Pads fabricated in this way have a very uniform voidage with an extremely high ratio of filament surface area per unit volume of pad.
Collected liquid in the mesh forms discrete droplets on the filaments which fall off as the force of gravity overcomes the combined forces of the rising gas and surface tension, which tend to hold the droplets to the filament.
'Becoil' Demisting Units have been specially designed to achieve highly efficiency removal - up to 100% on entrained droplets above 5 microns in size, while generating low pressure losses and are virtually maintenance free.

Stainless Steel Filter Elements:
Stainless steel filter elements are made up of several layers of 316 mesh that are sintered together to form an integrated porous element. The middle mesh is of very fine gauge and determines the filtration efficiency of the elements. This layer is then overlaid with inner and outer layers of coarser mesh, to give support and protection. The elements are a typical surface filter and the contaminants are retained on the surface of the filtration layer, this makes cleaning and back flushing a simple process. These filter elements should be ultrasonically cleaned to give best results. Stainless steel filter elements are particularly useful in heavily contaminated applications and for use as pre-filters before disposable
type final filters. Gaskets are required with stainless steel filter elements. The options are Viton, PTFE or high temperature annealed copper.
