In the centrifugal drum there is a hydraulically activated sliding floor which moves in an upwards and rotational direction. The continuously fed materials first fall through the inlet funnel into the drum and land in a circle around the base of the drum wall.
The programmed sliding floor pushes the material in set cycles through the specifically designed bar screen integrated into the drum wall.At this point the material is separated into solids and fluids. The dried material is carried over the edge of the drum by the upwards push, bounces off the oil scraper ring on the housing wall and exits the centrifuge down through the tapered chip ejection funnel. The projected fluid flows off to the side along the fixed retaining wall down the diagonally placed outlet gulley under the drum into the adjacent holding tank.Subsequent material and the constant outwards motion of the sliding floor prevents the bar screen from sticking or getting blocked. The centrifuge's self-cleaning concept reduces cleaning work to the absolute minimum.
The sliding technology saves staff having to regularly clean the drums as they normally would. The machine housing stands on several oscillating components which ensure the centrifuge runs quietly.

The PERMOLEX-POLAR Centrifuge
The continously operating centrifuge for the recovery of coolants when swarf and grinding sludge are processed.
ADVANTAGES:
- Suitable for swarf of all common metall classes and grinding sludge
- Very low residual moisture achievable
- High wear resistance due to manganese lining
- Continuous and fully automatic operation
- Low maintenance and service cost
- Very high operational reliability
- Short payback period
FUNCTION:
The metal swarf mixed with coolants or grinding sludge are conveyed by means of a suitable controllable conveying device. The metering screw (optional for K41 – K101) in the charging hopper of the centrifuge has the task to feed the materials evenly into the drum. According to the kind of swarf, coolant and continuity of the swarf flow to the centrifuge the use of the metering screw can be dispensed with. For swarf tending to get stuck or to stick (e. g. aluminium) the use of the metering device is basically recommended.
Due to the particular drum design and the effect of the centrifugal force swarf is spun against the inner wall of the centrifugal drum and is then slowly pushed upward within the drum by succeeding swarf. The throughput capacity of the centrifuge and thus the dwell time of the swarf in the drum are determined by controlling the conveying speed of the conveyor.
At the largest drum diameter the coolant passes out of the drum through an exchangeable bar screen into the spinning off area.
The dried swarf is pushed over the upper drum rim. Outside it is spun against an exchangeable manganese rebounding ring. Swarf and coolant are separately led out of the centrifuge.

Cleaning centrifuge for continuous separation and cleaning of cooling lubricants and washing fluids.
The liquid to be cleaned is supplied by a connection in the centre of the cover and reaches the bottom of the application vessel through a conducting cone. By accelerating the liquid, the sedimentation movement is immediately initiated for separating all specifically heavy solid impurities such as grinding and turning chips. The cleaned liquid rises upward and is conducted away via a skimming pipe. Due to the high-speed acceleration, the cleaned liquid rises up to 3 metres through the skimming pipe. The solid material in the application vessel is manually lifted out.
The RZ 400 is specially designed for separating non-emulsified oil from cooling lubricant emulsions or saturated washing fluids. This is a problem, for example, with hydraulically controlled automated machines and processing centres or washing systems. In this case, the two liquid phases are separated and the heavier solid material is collected in the application vessel. The liquid phases are carried out without pressure and have to be collected in a tank. The solid material in the application vessel is manually lifted out.

The emulsions used in mechanical workings and the liquids used in washing machines, accumulate light products which do not mix with water on the surface.
This veil, which can reach considerable sizes, from 0,1 to 2 mm, creates a barrier and prevents air from entering into contact with the emulsion.
This allows for the formation of anaerobic flora bacteria, which are the main causes of the decay and the putrefaction of the emulsions.
The SKIM eliminator of superficial oils, thanks to its particular shape, to the materials used and to its installation and utilization facility, is adaptable to being used in any kind of basin or tank.
Due to its great supply of accessories it is possible to position the SKIM either on the basin edge, or on the cover, or encased, or on an internal structure.
Functioning: the disc, immersed into the liquid, due to its rotation, pushes outside the polluting agents that stick to it.. The disc, whilst rotating, meets two scrapers fitted with a rubber edge which remove everything that gets stuck to the disc and through the appropriate off-let directs them outside.
It has been proved that the use of SKIM maintains the quality of the refrigeration for a long time whilst eliminating bad odours that generate in the presence of anaerobic flora bacteria.

Oil/water separating filter.
The delivery filter is a waterabsorbing cartridge. This provides extra protection for engines that are refuelled at the station.
These filters separate and absorb any water that may be found in the diesel fuel. The absorption of water gradually reduces the filtering capacity and increases the head loss caused by the filter.
The filter must be replaced when it becomes saturated.
Characteristics:
Filtering capacity 30 μm / 10 μ
Flow rate 60 - 100 l/min
Operating pressure 3.5 bar
Bursting pressure 10 bar

Vertical Filter Separator
The Plenty Vertical Filter Separator will remove 100% of all droplets 8-10 microns and larger and 99.5% of all droplets ½-8 microns in size.
It will also remove 100% of all solid particles, 3 microns and larger 99% of all particles ½-3 microns in size.
These operating efficiencies apply over the entire flow range from maximum design down to virtually zero flow.
The first stage of the filter separator consists of a number of glass fibre coalescer /filter elements through which the wet gas passes.
The small liquid drops carried in the gas stream are trapped within the glass fibres of the element and coalesce to form drops 100 to 200 times larger than the original size.
These drops pass through the element wall and are carried forward by the gas stream to the second stage vane type separator.
The second stage consists of a vane type impingement separator, which operates exactly as described for vane separator.

PetroXtractor®: Oil Skimming for Wells and Other Small Openings with Large Vertical Drops
The Abanaki PetroXtractor is a dependable and cost effective means of removing oil, fuel, and other floating hydrocarbons from water where access to the fluid surface is limited. It provides efficient remediation of groundwater contaminated by oil, using existing recovery and monitoring wells. Often, the PetroXtractor working alone will reduce oil or fuel content to an acceptable E.P.A. level. Models are available for two inch, four inch, and six inch or larger ID well casings, with removal rates up to 12 gph. (based on SEA 30 motor oil). Depths of 100 feet or more can be accommodated without the use of pumps.
The PetroXtractor is an oil skimmer that makes use of the differences in specific gravity and surface tension between oil and water. These physical characteristics allow the unit's continuous belt to attract floating oil in the well. After picking up the oil, the belt travels over the head pulley on the drive unit and through tandem wiper blades. The oil is then scraped off both sides of the belt and discharged through a 1-1/4" ID hose.
The PetroXtractor can be installed in existing wells by mounting it on a flat surface above the well casing. Skimmer operation consists of merely lowering the belt and tail pulley into the casing until the pulley is fully immersed, placing the discharge hose in a container, and switching the unit on.
- Ideal for removal of floating oil and other hydrocarbon liquids from existing remediation or monitoring wells
- Elevates skimmed oil 100 feet or more for discharge into 55 gal drum
- Removes up to 12 gph of oil from water

The Company ESK is building oil separators for refrigeration systems working with synthetical refrigerants like R22, R404a, R410a, and as well for many natural refrigerants like CO2, ammonia and hydrocarbons.
The ESK standard oil separators type OS effectively remove oil from the discharge gas in the strainer elements and return the oil through a high precision float valve to the crankcase or oil control system. The efficiency of oil recovery is dependent on the reduction of gas velocity in the separator itself. Providing the oil separator is correctly applied, this will be about 95 % to 98 %.
Beside conventional separators ESK is also offering high performance oil separators type BOS with a separation ratio of more than 99%. The BOS oil separators are equipped with coalescence elements made of glass fiber micro for the efficient separation of aerosol particles out of the discharge flow.
The use of ESK oil separators protects the compressor from defects cause by lack from lubrication and improves the heat transfer in the evaporator.
Oil separators should be installed whenever the following applications are considered:
• Evap. temp. below <-10 °C
• Blast freezers
• Capacity control
• Two stage plants
• Parallel systems
• Cascade plant
• Flooded systems
• Booster

The Parker oil separator removes oil from system refrigerant by means of a highly efficient coalescing filter. The filter is 98.5% efficient, filtering oil and particles down to 1/10 of a micron while leaving a trace amount of oil necessary for adequate system lubrication. The separator is ideal for recovery and reclaim operations.

The STA DPS system is a plate phase separator for static separation of two fluid phases which differ in density by at least 5% (e.g. coolant lubricant emulsion and hydraulic oil). Using gravitation (sinking of the heavy phase) and coalescence (merging of droplets), the light phase is made to float when flowing through the unit, and continually runs off.
Plate phase separators are used more and more frequently on account of increasing requirements regarding purity of industrial fluids, e.g. the separation of mineral oils from waste water, emulsions and degreasing baths. They can be operated with very low operating costs and can be used universally.

The unique floating pick-up skims the tramp oil and coolant mix from the top of the machine sump. As the liquid moves slowly through the patented steel coalescing plates, oil droplets as small as 20 microns are separated from the coolant and rise to the top of the PhaSep unit. When the oil layer builds up sufficiently in the unit, it passes over a specially-designed weir, and is trapped away from the clean coolant. The oil can then be removed periodically through the waste oil drain. Coolant, cleaned of 99% of contaminated oils, is returned directly to the machine sump.
