More than 20 years ago, Bergquist set the standard for elastomeric thermal interface materials with the introduction of Sil-Pad. Today Bergquist is a world leader with a complete family of Sil-Pad materials to meet critical needs of a rapidly changing electronics industry.
Sil-Pad thermally conductive insulators, in their many forms, continue to be a clean and efficient alternative to mica, ceramics or grease for a wide range of electronic applications. Sil-Pad provides:
Excellent thermal performance
Eliminates the mess of grease
More durable than mica
Efficient "total applied cost" that compares favorably with other alternatives.

Master Bond offers transparent epoxy formulations for use with elements in the optical path. They are formulated to maximize strength, applicability and environmental resistance in bonding, coating, potting and casting of optical systems. Attainable properties besides transmissions in excess of 97% include; specific wavelength characteristics, superior non-yellowing, low linear shrinkage, low exotherm, high electrical insulation, matched coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE, COE), along with a wide index of refraction range, from a relatively low 1.43 up to 1.61 IR. It should be noted that the ultraviolet compositions cure tack free. Master Bond products have been carefully processed to exclude potentially objectionable contaminants and provide innovative solutions to many processing problems. They virtually eliminate quality control difficulties caused by outgassing, corrosion and other environmentally induced conditions.
Master Bond optical polymers produce high strength bonds resistant to chemicals including water, oil, acids, and many organic solvents and are serviceable over a wide temperature range. They bond well to most substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, and many plastics, especially polycarbonates and acrylics. |

Master Bond Inc., Hackensack, N.J. is proud to announce the development of a new two component, room temperature curing epoxy adhesive called EP21HT. This system is easy to use and has a convenient, forgiving 1 to 1 mix ratio, weight or volume. EP21HT is 100% reactive and contains no solvents or volatiles. It has excellent physical strength properties and bonds well to both similar and dissimilar substrates. These include metals, glass, ceramics, wood, rubbers and many plastics. EP21HT has a service operating temperature range of -50°C to 200°C.
Cured EP21HT possesses superb electrical insulation properties. It has a volume resistivity of >1014 ohm-cm. It is also capable of withstanding exposure to thermal cycling and many chemicals including water, oils, fuels, acids, bases and salts. It has a Shore D hardness of >70 and coefficient of thermal expansion of 50 in/in x 10-6/°C. It has a tensile strength of >8,000 psi and a tensile modulus of >350,000 psi.
EP21HT is available for purchase in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits. For ease of usage it is also available in convenient syringe and gun applicators. |

NORPOL FI-184 is a vinyl ester based bonding paste for bonding polyester laminates giving joints with great strength and toughness.
NORPOL FI-184 is pre-accelerated and is changing colour from light grey to yellowish/brown <5min. after the admixing of peroxide.
•Recommended peroxide dosage: 2.0% CHP peroxide (NORPOL PEROXIDE 24)
•Recommended application temperature interval 18-23 ºC
•Sag/flow: Will not sag provided a maximum thickness of 20 mm is observed. Not horizontally self-flowing.
•Thicknesses up to 15 mm can be applied in one operation without causing cracks when curing
NORPOL FI-184 is suitable for machine application. We recommend running tests with the machine before starting the bonding job to ensure proper admixing of the peroxide.
VARIOUS PROPERTIES
Suitable surfaces: Glass-fiber reinforced products and cellular plastics.
Workability: Hard to grind.
The bonding paste should be stored at 18-25 ºC .If the product have a temperature <18 ºC (which is no problem as to product quality) it should be heated to 18-25 ºC before use. See storage and handling document of NORPOL products.
