The Sirius 1000 is a high performance high-ply textile cutter with automatic material feed. Owing to the stable knife action and high vacuum power, it is possible to accurately cut coated materials and fleece, cotton, wool, insulating materials and other voluminous materials up to 100 mm in height, compressed under vacuum, at effective cutting speed of up to 20 m per minute.
To ensure excellent cutting quality of even very high stacks , the cutter is characterised by a specially designed vacuum flow, which ensures that the cutting material is subjected to an evenly distributed pressure during compression and therefore there is no displacement within the multilayer pile. To achieve greater efficiency when cutting soft materials, the output of the vacuum pump was also raised so that voluminous materials are compressed down to 30% of their uncompressed height. This means that at the same cutting height more layers can be cut.
The adaptive knife guide in the Z axis (tangential axis)ensures that deflections of the knife caused by the cutting forces during the cutting process are automatically compensated. In this way, a very high degree of cutting accuracy with soft materials ,from the top to the bottom layer is achieved.
These characteristics, combined with the reinforcement of the lateral knife guide, the stable guidance of the knife back and the reinforced pressing plate guide, allow to cut compressed layers of voluminous materials accurately up to a height of 100 mm at effective speeds of up to 20 m per minute.
For the automotive version of the cutter , the drilling machine was reinforced to enable precision bores up to 25 mm to be performed rapidly. |

The Laminate Analysis Program can be used to analyse any type of composite laminate subjected to in-plane loads and moments. The flat laminate has no fixed size apart from its thickness, so that the analysis can be applied to any composite component, at a location where loadings or deformations are known.
Typically, the software is used in preliminary design for tailoring a stacking sequence, then analysing the composite component with other methods such as finite elements, and finally optimising the design by inspecting the laminate behaviour layer by layer.
LAP consists of four modules. The Basic module includes the linear analysis functionality and constitutes the minimum configuration. The other three modules (Non-Linear, Design, Additional Failure Criteria) are optional. |

Compoflex 150 for Resin Infusion
In the resin Infusion process, the dry fibre material is placed directly in the mould. A distribution fabric or grid is installed to ensure corect resin flow and optimal vacuum distribution. Between the dry fibre material and the distribution fabric, a peel-ply is installed as a seperator. Compoflex 150 replaces the peelply and ensures easy peeling, leaving a clean surface.
Designed without a bleeder layer, Compoflex 150 is ideal for for the resin infusion process. |

Complete range of peel plies : from 50 to 125 gr/m2, dyed, white or undyed with stripes, polyamide or polyester, bands or full Width
PA85 is the standard quality, taffeta weave, 85 gr/m2, white with stripes.
Those fabrics are used to impart a textured surface to the moulded component to improve adhesion in secondary bonding or painting.
We are able to manufacture your own peel ply with specific characteristics.
All our peel plies are treated in order
to remove all pollutant products
(like silicones for example) which
could be find on the laminate.
PA80 AD is an adhesive version with only 8gr/m² of glue. Spay is not recommended for the vacuum infusion, because you can't apply it uniformly. More a large part of the solvent goes in the workshop atmosphere : the vacuum philosophy is to avoid COV emission. |
