The Patriot™ Chop/Wetout system is a versatile pumping system that addresses many of the problems experienced in composites material application. If your goal is to make quality parts with minimal overspray and greatly reduce waste materials, then the precision of this system is what you need.
Precision counts. The key to efficient FRP production is achieving a uniform laminate. Precise metering is the key to correct many of the quality issues, such as porosity, inconsistent thickness and more that currently face composites manufactures. With a catalyst-to-resin variance ratio of 1% or less, the Patriot™ chop system runs circles around competitive systems that tested with variance ratios of 25% - 30%.
Superior Construction. The Patriot™ Chop/Wetout System features a deep induction heat hardened Fluid Section which is then coated with a thick hard chrome layer to increase the wear characteristics of the system, allowing it to run for longer periods.
Both the Fluid Section and Catalyst Pump on Patriot™ feature the new "self-healing" seal that has the lowest coefficients of friction available today. This seal does not require packing adjustments, and greatly reduces the problems associated with heat buildup and wear.

This WOLFANGEL® unit was conceived for the processing of low viscose fluid plastics. In this case, a PU glue had to be dosed for the glueing of stone tiles. The processing pressure is about 100 bar as the glue has to go through a 7,5 m long material hose before being delivered to the processing head with a capacity of 5 kg/min. Due to the short pot life, the material cannot be heated for the reduction of the viscosity.

The RimCraft Loop Sealer Dispensing System (RCLSD2004) is a two component Polyester designed specifically for traffic loop sealing applications.
With the RCLSD2004 system, traffic loops can be filled faster with less material waste. The RCLSD2004 system eliminates all hand mixing and pouring of the traffic loop sealer materials. This provides less hazardous conditions for the traffic loop installers.
The two components are metered into a static mixer through the RCLSD2004 gun providing a thorough mix. The RCLSD2004 gun is equipped with a wand extension that allows the operator to remain in an upright position, reducing back fatigue. Flushing of an inexpensive static mixer is the only requirement after each use.
The RimCraft RCLSD2004 Traffic Loop Sealer Dispensing System is available in a variety of custom configurations. Our standard configuration is a 55-Gallon Plate Mount. The system can be mounted to the optional RimCraft EZ Load Heavy Duty Trailer and optional 8 HP gasoline air compressor. Various hose lengths are available, 100 feet maximum.

This WOLFANGEL® unit was conceived for the vacuum infusion process, where, at the beginning of the process, a great amount of material is required. The capacity is 50 kg/min. Resin, catalyst and accelerator (or inhibitor) are delivered by 3 material pumps. The particular advantage of this plant is that it can process preaccelerated resin. The reaction process of the resin system can be adjusted to an optimum to the temperatures of the environment so that the possibilities of adjustment are improved compared to a preaccelerated system. This concept can also be used for epoxy dosing units.

The T4 was engineered for machining the largest size of aerospace structural parts.Carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) has been extensively applied to aerospace structural parts to reduce the weight of aircraft and improve their fuel economy. The use of titanium alloys has also been increasing recently because their coefficient of thermal expansion is compatible with that of CFRP. Machining productivity is extremely low for titanium alloys because their hard-to-cut nature limits the cutting speed owing to the relationship with tool wear. Makino has developed the T4 to improve machining productivity for these hard-to-cut materials. Typical machining applications for the T4 include edge frames and pylons.

Classic steaming process
After an initial vacuum to vent the air excess present in the chamber and to aide the penetration of the steam in the textile material, a direct injection of steam allows the steaming of the textiles in an atmosphere saturated steam.
Steam injection is controlled along with the programmed temperature settings. During the temperature come-up time, an internal exchanger allows the steam to be heated and limits the production of condensation.
Intermediate vacuums to accelerate the penetration of the steam can be programmed. After the steaming, a final vacuum allows the textiles to be cooled and eliminates any excess humidity.
This principal can be used for all textile fibres: natural, artificial, synthetic and mixed.
Steaming process with moisture recovery
After an initial vacuum to vent the air excess present in the chamber and to aide the penetration of the steam in the textile material, a volume of water stored in the bottom of the autoclave is heated by “BUBBLING” or by electrical heaters.

Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) is traditionally used on very complex surfaces and smaller structures and utilizes single or multiple narrow, slit tapes or tows to make up a given total prepreg band width. This is typically the case within Automated Dynamics as well, but we have taken some liberties with the definition when it improves the Customer's automation solution. The Automated Fiber Placement Process is depicted to the left. In both thermoset and thermoplastic processing, incoming tape is electrically heated using nitrogen. Prepreg material application and consolidation or debulk is always achieved through a compaction roller medium that may be heated or cooled.

Automated Tape Laying (ATL) utilizes a single, wide, unidirectionally reinforced, slit tape to layup simple, gentle countours or flat parts. This is typically the case within Automated Dynamics as well, but we have taken some liberties with the definition when it improves the Customer's automation solution. The need for individual tows or a single wide band should always be a compromise between part surface geometry and manufacturing throughput. Simple geometries over large surface areas are typically approached by the industry with wide 6.000 inch - 12.000 inch (152.40 mm - 304.80 mm) tape. While this solution may adequately handle the overall simple geometry, localized pad-ups and occlusions may still demand hand laid up or prekitted plies and hand trimming on the part surface. Complex ATL systems with "flying knife" technology may trim to a perfect edge of ply (EOP), but the scrap generated must be deposited off the part or removed by hand. This precise EOP capability seems attractive, but it adds to machine complexity and cost and increases manufacturing time. It may be wise to consider a tailored approach using multiple wide tapes, perhaps 1.000 inch (25.40 mm), to approximate the EOP while maintaining higher throughput and reducing scrap.
