POSIDISC - Ball-discs variable speed drive
Easy maintenance and dependability under extreme operating conditions make this gear reducer the best choice for many applications. Speed adjustment is possible during operation as well as at idle. The mechanism is compatible with extreme operating conditions, including speed adjustment while the output shaft is locked. It is not necessary to use a starting professional clutch or a safety coupling.

Brevini's range of mixer drives are planetary gear units modified to meet the operating requirements of water conditioners and of professional mixers in chemical, ceramic and paper producing industries. The mixer drives combine the traditional advantages of Brevini's planetary technology - compactness and high efficiency - with the characteristics of strength and reliability.
The flexibility of the mixer drive design provides users with a number of construction options, including in-line and right-angle configurations, and the facility to directly mount a motor to the gearbox via a flange. The new series of winding gear units has been studied and designed specifically for use on systems for the SINGLE-SCREW EXTRUSION of various materials, such plastic, rubber, etc.
Our range includes two-stage reduction units, PBE series, with a nominal reduction ratio ranging between 6.3 and 28, and three-stage reduction units, PCE series, with a nominal ratio ranging between 8 and 125.
By being able to have the same reduction ratios 8÷28 on both series either solution can be chosen for the same application, depending on the dimensions and version required.
For all sizes, the housings of the gear units are built in G25 grey cast iron, suitably dimensioned for heavy duty work. They are suitable for mounting both horizontally and vertically.
The output flange, housing the thrust bearing manufacturers and used for mounting the extrusion screw, is integrated in the housing cast.
The thrust bearing fitted on the low-speed shaft is the 294__E type and dimensioned for heavy duty working conditions.
In the standard version, screw keying is done with a feather key but it may also be done with a grooved profile, according to the most common standards in force.

Brevini High Power gear units for medium and high power industrial applications combine the innovative technology and performance of Brevini’s latest S series range with the high quality and reliability of PIV Drives’ Posired series of right-angle gearboxes.
The result is a new series of right-angle gear units that has all the benefits of versatile output configurations typical of planetary gear units combined with the tested input safety of high quality right-angle gearboxes, a solution that is more efficient, quieter, more compact and offers a better price / performance ratio compared to ordinary gear units.
The application range of these new Brevini Power Transmission gear units includes a variety of ratios – from 1:75 to 1:660 – and a transmission capacity of up to 950 kW of power. These gearboxes are the result of the partnership and the teamwork between Brevini and PIV.
