On request the Reggiana Riduttori 2000 series of planetary reduction gears
can be supplied with conformity to the "ATEX" Directive 94/9/CE on the use
of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres (Group II, Categories
2G/2D, Zones 1/21). The RR reduction gears with ATEX conformity entail the
use of special parts like Viton® professional seals and additional plates; they are also
supplied with an Installation, Use and Maintenance Manual providing specific
indications for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and a Declaration
of Conformity in accordance with enclosure VIII of the 94/9/CE directive.

Brevini's in-line or right angle planetary gearboxes can be used in a wide range of industrial lines and mobile applications. They are based upon a flexible modular system and are available with either male or female output shaft configurations.
The male configuration (cylindrical or splined) is used where side or axial loads are acting upon the output shaft. The female configuration is used to transmit purely torque and is employed where space is limited. The flange mounted gearboxes are supported by a wide range of accessories. These include: adaptors for electric and suppliers of hydraulic motors, multidisc failsafe brakes and male input shaft configurations. |

The PHP series with backlash ¡Ü5 arcmin has important characteristics such as, an axial length compensation system of the heated motor shaft, a balanced clamp supplier fixing system, ratios up to 1:100 for double stages and output torque up to 700Nm.
Moreover, the PHT version is available with tapered manufacturer of roller bearings and reduced backlash up to ¡Ü2 arcmin and there is also the PSS version, made completely of stainless steel with characteristics identical to the standard series. PG planetary gear units are divided into 21 basic groups depending on the different torques that are to be transmitted to the output shaft, which can vary from 0.05 to 65 kNm.
In fact, the product modular construction permits the coupling of bevel pinions, worm gears, industrial hydraulic brakes and a variety of input shafts to the planetary units, as well as providing for a wide choise of joint flanges for hydraulic or electronic motors. |

| Planetary gear units (PLG) have the highest continuous torque capacity of all types of gearbox; at the same time they have a very compact form, low weight, and excellent efficiency. Self-centering planet gears ensure a symmetrical force distribution. The ring gear also forms the housing of the gearbox. The gearbox output shaft is supported in two ball bearings suppliers so that it can withstand high axial and radial loads. The gearboxes are customized, e.g. for use in especially low ambient temperatures, or as high-power gearboxes with reinforced output shafts, or with special lubricants for very long service life. |
