True Zero Backlash Onvio reducers are designed with cantilevered needle bearing cam followers and rollers- not with pins and bushings found in other cycloidal designs. This allows for a controlled pre-load between the cam and cam followers, assuring zero backlash. This design permits the pre-load to be maintained throughout the L10 life of the bearings.
High Torsional Stiffness With every cam follower in contact at all times, the load is equally shared. This guarantees consistently high torsional rigidity independent of load position.
Accuracy All bearings are precision class bearings. The cam follower bolt circles are held concentric to 0.0002". This gives positional accuracies down to seconds of arc.
Low Compact Profile Onvio reducers offer a hollow bore input and low profile design. Coupled to a pancake motor, they can be installed in the smallest of spaces.

Brevini's in-line or right angle planetary gearboxes can be used in a wide range of industrial equipment and mobile applications. They are based upon a flexible modular system and are available with either male or female output shaft configurations.
The male configuration (cylindrical or splined) is used where side or axial loads are acting upon the output shaft. The female configuration is used to transmit purely torque and is employed where space is limited. The flange mounted gearboxes are supported by a wide range of accessories. These include: adaptors for electric and hydraulic motors, multidisc failsafe brakes and male input shaft configurations.

Onvio's authentic planetary, AP, provides designers with the greatest positioning accuracy and highest torsional stiffness, along with the lowest backlash gearbox available. The AP design incorporates single or two stages of planetary gearing to create five frames sizes with rated torque from 40 Nm up to 900 Nm. Standard backlash is 5 - 8 arc minutes and reduced backlash is 3 - 5 arc minutes, so designers can choose the appropriate level of precision for each application. Available in twelve standard ratios from 4:1 to 90:1 with optional ratios upon request. With a two-piece modular design, Onvio's AP gearbox can be customized to meet your OEM requirements.

RV-E and RV-C Series
The RV-E and RV-C reducers are used as the joints of industrial robots. They are very compact and lightweight, while at the same time being highly rigid and overload resistant. In addition, these series feature reduction in backlash, rotational vibration and inertia, which ensures higher accelerating capability, smoother motion, and higher positioning accuracy, thus leading to further enhanced robot controllability.

The GH is a very compact, highly rigid reducer with low backlash (6 arc-min max.) and high output speed capabilities (250 rpm max.). The GH utilizes internal angular support bearings that provide large moment capacities and negate the need for external support devices. The reducer is available in standard flange and shaft type output configurations and is shipped sealed, pre-greased and ready to mount to your servomotor.

The PHP series with backlash ¡Ü5 arcmin has important characteristics such as, an axial length compensation system of the heated motor shaft, a balanced clamp fixing system, ratios up to 1:100 for double stages and output torque up to 700Nm.

VARVEL low-backlash planetary speed reducers, Series RG, are designed for two and three stages, with hardened and tempered steel housing and broached internal gear. Manufactured to latest ISO engineering design specifications the housing is checked by computer-aided structural analysis for deflection and stress distribution.
The planetary speed reducers RG are made with gears of carburized alloyed steel, hardened and tempered; the planetary gear shafts of hardened and tempered steel; the input and output flanges of drawn aluminium (a micro version is manufactured without the output flange).
The universal motor coupling is available by the means of a clutch fitting and input flange and bush adapters.
The series RG is made in 4 sizes (RG050 - RG070 - RG090 - RG120), one and two stages, reduction ratios 3/1 to 100/1 and nominal output torque 12Nm to 220Nm.

PG planetary gear units are divided into 21 basic groups depending on the different torques that are to be transmitted to the output shaft, which can vary from 0.05 to 65 kNm.
In fact, the product modular construction permits the coupling of bevel gears, worm gears, hydraulic brakes and a variety of input shafts to the planetary units, as well as providing for a wide choise of coupling flanges for hydraulic or electric motors.

Planetary gearboxes (PLG) have the highest continuous torque capacity of all types of gearbox; at the same time they have a very compact form, low weight, and excellent efficiency. Self-centering planet gears ensure a symmetrical force distribution. The ring gear also forms the housing of the gearbox. The gearbox output shaft is supported in two ball bearings so that it can withstand high axial and radial loads. The gearboxes are customized, e.g. for use in especially low ambient temperatures, or as high-power gearboxes with reinforced output shafts, or with special lubricants for very long service life.
