Based on MTI Instruments' proprietary capacitance technology, the Proforma 300 can be used on all wafer materials including:
* Silicon
* Gallium-Arsenide
* Indium Phosphide
* Germanium
...without recalibrating or electrically grounding the wafer.
Fast, Accurate, and Reliable, the Proforma 300 measures wafers up to 300 mm in diameter for both thickness and total thickness variation (TTV)
Portable and Easy to Set Up, the Proforma 300 provides the user precise non-contact measurements at critical points throughout the wafer manufacturing process.
Thickness and TTV values are obtained by placing the wafer between MTI Instruments' non-contact capacitance probes. The Teflon coated wafer stage allows for easy, non-abrasive positioning of the wafer, while removable locating pins can be utilized for precise center thickness measurements. Thickness and TTV values are indicated on the high resolution LCD display.
An RS-232 port is provided for output to a personal computer, while a parallel port provides direct output to a printer.

PV Series
Using MTII's exclusive Push/Pull capacitance probe technology, each PV-1000 module provides up to three pairs of probes for measurement of maximum, minimum and average thickness, as well as total thickness variation (TTV) and wafer bow. For applications requiring additional thickness channels, multiple PV-1000 modules can be chained together for unlimited line scans on the wafer.
Wafer saw mark detection and classification is accomplished by adding optional laser sensors to the PV-1000 module. Utilizing up to two of MTII's industry leading Microtrak - SA standalone laser heads, saw marks can be classified for orientation and depth simultaneously with wafer thickness scanning making the PV-1000 ideal for incoming wafer characterization and sorting.
Integrated data acquisition and control electronics analyze and transmit wafer data via the on-board Ethernet port at speeds of up to five wafers per second. The digital I/O port allows communication with wafer handling equipment for up to 64 classes of wafer sorting and binning. ● RTM System
The FMS Radio Transmitted Tension Monitoring System (RTM) is designedto monitor tension of individual wires or cables in rotating applications. This system sends all the collected data via radio transmission and operates on battery power so that it does not require slip rings. The RTM System is a complete
tension monitoring package designed to easily retrofit onto older machines.
It is ideal for upgrading existing machinery to state-of-the-art tension
measuring technology.
● Functional description
All individual tension sensor (load cells)data is collected over a BUS system
mounted on the rotating portion of the machine. A dedicated unit on the bus system transmits the information over radio frequency to a PC nearthe machine. A Bluetooth® USB stick receives the tension data on the operator side. Values of all of the individual tension sensors can be monitored real-time on the screen.
They can also be viewed in a continuous rolling screen format and can be stored on a hard-disk. Power options: For machines without 24 V supply on the rotating portion of the machine, the RTM offers a power pack that keeps the whole system
running for one full shift utilizing battery power. The battery power pack voltage can be monitored on the screen and a warning is displayed when the battery power gets too low. The battery pack can then simply be exchanged for a fully charged one within seconds. A battery charger is included with the RTM System.

The improvement of the conventional welding methods, the widespread use of the laser welding as well as subsequent treatments e.g. annealing and coating have made the automatic detection of the tube weld seam in many manufacturing processes such as in tube and pipe benders or hydroforming a demanding task for modern sensor technology . This applies both to the weld seam detection in tubes as well as to flat stock e.g. coils. Therefore, the use of special sensors designed for special tasks, digital signal analysis with microprocessor or PC-based control systems have received our special attention.

Wet and Dry Film Thickness Gauge acc. to Rossmann, Model 296
The difference in level between substrate and film surface is gauged by the contact point of the dial indicator. Measuring range 0-1000 ìm in 5 ìm divisions. For measurements on wet films the contact point is raised by means of a knurled screw and then lowered until it touches the surface of the wet film.
|
|
Wet Film Thickness Gauge, Model 234
A hardened and ground double wheel with an eccentric cam in the centre is rolled over a newly applied film. The wetting line on the centre cam is read on a scale as wet film thickness. Total measuring range: 1500 ìm, available in 8 different subranges.
