The ASTAT XT soft starter delivers reliable performance and smooth acceleration for a range of standard AC motors, from 8A-1400A and from 230V-690V. By controlling motor acceleration and deceleration, it reduces mechanical wear and tear on motors better than across-the-line starting methods. This is particularly true in such applications as pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors.
A simple interface for fast set-up and operation
Its backlit LCD screen, which delivers full descriptions of parameters, makes the ASTAT XT easy to use. In two rows of 16 characters each, it displays the function selected and the value of the setting and/or monitor. Selecting and changing parameters is simply done with the arrow keys. Via any one of four selectable user languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish), it delivers:
• Data Readouts – e.g. Line Voltage, Motor Current, etc.
• Fault Diagnostics – e.g. Overload, Overvoltage, Undercurrent

Electrical Motor Starters
AER Borne Environmental Electrical Motor Starters are designed to provide economical and effective, electrical motor protection. The standard, basic motor starter consists of an industrial grade, UL & CSA approved magnetic motor starter designed for harsh, industrial environments and is built to provide optimum motor protection and reliable, long service life. The heavy duty motor starter is provided with adjustable overload relay/heaters and 120 volt coil. Starter package includes a 120 volt control circuit transformer with fused primary and secondary, momentary push to start button, stop button, external reset button and pilot light housed in a NEMA 12 enclosure. Standard motor starter packages are available for 230 and 460 volt, 60 hertz applications.

Hall-effect sensors
Hall-effect sensors are suitable for proximity rotational speed recording on gears with a small module and high resolution. The various models can be used in a wide range of applications, even under extreme conditions. SH type rotational speed sensors are used in a wide variety of applications in mechanical engineering, vehicles and mobile working machines, as well as in hydraulic drives.
The sensor detects the movement of ferromagnetic structures such as gears using the change in the magnetic flux. The sensor is biased using a permanent magnet. Teeth and gaps which moves past the sensor affect the magnetic field in different ways. This changes the Hall voltage on a hall-effect sensor.
This means the changes to the magnetic field can be converted to electrical values, and then filtered and processed. The output signal of the sensor is a square wave voltage which reflects the change in the magnetic field.
