Green TEC Laser:
StockerYale's Lasiris™ Green TEC structured light laser offers a thermoelectric system and fan that maintains a constant laser diode temperature, resulting in excellent wavelength, power, and pointing stabilities. The new, improved design makes focusing even easier with the focus adjusting screw located directly on the body of the laser. In addition, the Green TEC boasts one of the longest green laser lifetimes, and is offered with a 1-year warranty.
A green beam can provide better contrast on red hot metal or wood. Another advantage is that a green beam is more visible to the human eye than red, thereby making the relative eye response to the green much higher. A 1 mW green beam (532 nm) will be better perceived by the human eye than a 1 mW red beam (635 nm).

Mini Laser:
StockerYale's Lasiris™ Mini laser has the smallest dimensions available on the market for a diode laser producing uniform intensity lines. It is designed for years of reliable operation in systems where size and weight are a limitation. The Lasiris™ patented line-generating optics have been integrated into the Mini laser to yield the same uniform non-Gaussian lines as our well-known SNF laser line generators.
Despite its small diameter (10 mm - less than 0.4''), the Mini is packed with features. It is ESD-protected, reverse-polarity protected, over-temperature protected, and offers a wide range of structured light patterns thanks to its interchangeable head design. |

Finisar Advanced Optical Components has led the industry in high volume VCSEL technology since introducing the first commercially available VCSEL in 1996. VCSELs (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers) are semiconductor lasers which are effecting advances in optical communication, and sensor applications.
For precision optical sensor applications, Advanced Optical Components VCSELs' superior reliability, low drive current, high coupled power, narrow and circularly symmetric beam and versatile packaging options (including arrays) are enabling solutions not possible with other optical technologies.
VCSELs combine many of the desired features of an LED and the advantages of a laser diode. The VCSEL provides increased power output at low drive currents: as the current increases above its threshold, the light intensity increases proportionally. Packaging options include TO can, with and without lensing, and 0805 small scale packaging.
Our reflective sensors use a VCSEL in combination with a phototransistor to enable reflective sensing applications. Packaging options include a TO-can package with focusing optics, or a low cost, surface mount package.
Advanced Optical Components has shipped more packaged VCSELs than any other company. Our world-renowned R&D team is continually developing higher speeds and expanded wavelengths. Technical support is available worldwide. |

Firecomms 665nm VCSELs operate at red wavelengths over 0 to 40°C, and require about one tenth of the operating current of edge emitting lasers. Firecomms multimode red VCSEL is designed for applications where low operating current, excellent beam quality, and visible light are of premium importance.
Firecomms' VCSELs have a bandwidth of up to 3GHz which makes the VCSEL ideal for Gigabit data transmission speeds. Our VCSEL family includes our latest product EDL1000G, a 1x9 POF transceiver module capable of delivering data over POF at rates up to 1.25 Gbps. The transceiver, which is pin compatible with 1x9 optical transceivers for glass fiber, includes Firecomms' OptoLock for quick and easy bare POF terminations without the need for careful fiber cutting or polishing. |

Cladding-Pump' is perhaps the most significant innovation yet in the field of active fiber devices. By harnessing the high power outputs of multimode pump diodes, cladding-pump fibers have made the goal of multi-watt lasers and amplifiers a reality.
CP1100 employs Fibercore Limited's QPS (quasi polygonal, sinusoidal) fabrication technology (patents pending). The multi-lobed, pure-silica pump-core of CP1100 ensures that pump energy is transferred efficiently into the central, ytterbium-doped laser core whilst the circular cross section enhances compatibility with conventional optical fibers and components.
Unlike competitors' cladding-pump technologies, which employ a silicone rubber or low refractive index resin, CP1100 has a doped silica outer cladding. This unique construction dramatically improves and simplifies the handling characteristics of cladding-pump fibers - and can only increase both reliability and power-handling capabilities. |

The YLM Series of 1 to 100 Watt Ytterbium fiber lasers were designed for maintenance-free OEM applications. The YLM diode pumped fiber laser delivers a diffraction limited (M2 < 1.05) 1.07 micron laser beam directly to the work site via a metal-sheathed single mode fiber cable.
The factory sealed YLM Series lasers can be built directly into your OEM or production system with no need for after-installation service. Fiber-to-fiber architecture means a robust, monolithic design with no optics to align or maintain, no mechanics to stabilize, and with the focusable power and high power densities needed for the most exacting applications. |
