The spot luminance meters LS-100 and LS-110, categorized in the upper range of the DIN quality class B, are among the best hand meters on the market. The SLR (single lens reflex) optical system allows precise targeting and ensures the viewfinder showing the exact area to be measured, even at very short distances. This makes even precise focussing very easy. In addition to the measurement field and the measurement environment, the viewfinder also shows the measured luminance value. The pistol grip makes handling of the unit very secure. We paid special attention to minimize flare and to give precise V(lambda) correlation (CIE relative photopic luminosity curve). With the help of a close-up lens, areas as small as 0.4mm diameter can be measured.
Areas of application
Light sources of all types can be measured with the LS, for example signal, traffic lights, airport lighting, lamps, LEDs, picture tubes, etc., simply anything that emits light. Now you can, for example, guarantee minimum brightness, exchange lamps that are too dark, create quality assurance in the production of lamps, or check indirectly illuminated objects like movie screens. |

| The CA-210 LCD Color Analyzer is Konica Minolta's "next generation" color analyzer designed to measure color luminance, gamma characteristic and flicker on various types of Flat Panel Displays including LCD and EL. Faster than previous generation analyzers, the CA-210's measurement of luminance and chromaticity at up to 20 times/second makes it ideal in high production environments. (AND it can simultaneously measure up to five points on the screen. ) The CA-210's special optical design limits acceptance angle to within ± 2.5 degrees, thus eliminating the influence of the LCD's viewing angle dependency. Matrix calibration allows for high measurement of LCD displays that provide colors through additive mixing of three monochrome colors (R,G,B). A new low luminance capability enables measurements as low as 0.1cd/m2 |

The Optoscan monochromator from Cairn Research is the only instrument of its type to offer control of both centre-wavelength and bandwidth with millisecond time resolution. Combined with Cairn signal processing modules and optical hardware it forms the heart of a powerful and flexible microfluorescence system. Alternatively it can be readily integrated into commercial imaging systems, or custom controlled for bespoke applications.
This instrument has been designed specifically with real-time biological fluorescence measurements in mind, but has evolved into a truly versatile laboratory tool. If your application requires fast, flexible and automated illumination control then the Cairn Optoscan may well be the instrument of choice.
Other commercial monochromators include the facility to change bandwidth between experiments using a manual control. This is sufficient for many purposes, but is not ideal for complex protocols especially those involving multiple fluorescence markers. Only by controlling bandwidth in real-time during experiments can each excitation wavelength be optimised independently. This means that where Stoke's shifts are large or where fluorescence intensities are weak then a relatively large bandwidth can be selected to maximise signal-to-noise. Conversely if there is a small Stoke's shift or if the fluorescence intensity is high then the slit width can be minimised to reduce bleed through and optimise dynamic range.
Applications :
- Fluorescence photometry
- Fluorescence imaging
- Optical wavelength scanning
- Photolysis |
