| PolaWiseTM is an advanced polarization measurement system for accurate characterization of all polarization related properties of light sources and optical materials. Based on General Photonics' patented magneto-optic polarization generation and analysis technology, the PSGA-101-A is specially designed for fiber optic applications and can effortlessly accomplish multiple functions, including polarization state generation (PSG), polarization state analysis (PSA), polarization extinction ratio (PER) measurement, polarization dependent loss (PDL) measurement, and polarization mode dispersion (PMD) measurement. Another attractive feature of the instrument is its large flip-top LCD graphic display design, an industry first that allows large viewing area on a compact, portable enclosure. Furthermore, a 2x20 character LCD is also included on the front panel for easy operation of the instrument for applications that do not require a graphic display, such as PER measurement. The instrument comes with an internal tunable laser for PDL and PMD measurement up to 10 ps. It can also control tunable lasers from third parties via a GPIB port for measurement of larger PMD values. The instrument also comes with a VGA port for use with an external LCD graphic display of the user's choice. PolaWiseTM: a wise instrument and a smart choice! |

The PR21-series has been developed for direct insertion into pipes and boilers. It measures the refractive index with high accuracy and enables sophisticated process monitoring in the food, sugar, beverage, chemical, textile, paper, metalworking and petrochemical industries. The instrument is also ideal for waste-water control and a number of other quality inspections.
Measurements are not influenced by color or turbidity.
Installation of the process refractometer is simple and fast due to the use of standardized flanges.
In addition to its up-market PR21 Process Refractometer, A.KRÜSS OPTRONIC has also launched the IR10 to meet all requirements in basic process moitoring. |

Refractometry is an ideal analytical procedure for an accurate and reliable measurement of a liquid's purity, concentration or density. The primary measured quantity is the refractive index of the liquid.
The measurement is independent of the liquid's turbidity and color, nor is it influenced by entrained gas bubbles. No minimum flow rate is necessary.
Refractometers are widely used for monitoring or regulating concentration as well as for quality control. They are a very common in laboratories where for example they are used for quality spot checks.
PIOXR R operates on the basis of the transit-light principle: it measures the refractive index of light transmitted through the liquid, thus not simply by measurement of a thin layer of liquid on a prism, as it is done in the critical angle method. The latter is used by most other common refractometers. The transit-light method has the advantage that the entire liquid serves as a sample. Measurement by the transit-light principle is drift free and can reach a precision which is by a factor 10 higher than that of conventional refractometers.

Rolux 2.0 hand-held stroboscope
The rolux hand-held stroboscope is ideal for proximity rotational speed measurement of plants and machinery, as well as for observing moving parts in operation. Adjust the flash sequence so that the object appears stationary to the human eye, and you can then read the speed or frequency of movement from the LCD on the rolux.
Comparison between rolux and rolux 2.0
Specification rolux rolux 2.0
Light Emission 800 Lux 1200 Lux
Flash Duration < 20 ìs 2 h
With power supply — Continuous use
It uses xenon technology to produce extremely bright flashes at a reduced power consumption.
The compact design of the rolux hand-held stroboscope and its one-hand operation give it the flexibility to be used at poorly accessible locations.
The device registers speeds and oscillation frequencies during operation at poorly accessible or particularly sensitive points. It can also be used to observe fast, recurring sequences of movement. Example applications of the device include observations of fan blade deformation, the position of a toothed belt under load or separation of substances in a centrifuge. These are just a few illustrations of its huge range of uses in this field.

- Simple operation reduces alignment time to minutes
- Three models to choose from including fluorescent screen, camera, and 8x zoom systems
The patented SBSI is a small beam lateral shear interferometer that uses an air gap between glass plates to shear the beam and then projects a magnified interference fringe pattern on a camera or fluorescent viewing screen. Optical aberrations can be identified and corrected while viewing the SBSI fringe pattern in real-time. For example, coma can be corrected by changing the tilt of a collimating lens in an optical system so the fringes on the SBSI change from curved to straight. A reference line on the SBSI screen indicates the best focus (collimation) angle for the fringes. When the fringes are parallel to the SBSI reference line, all optical aberrations are minimized. Beams can be checked directly or in reflection using a rotating beam-splitter cube mounted on the front of the SBSI. |
