In these plants, the accrued sludge is dried with compressed air, when cellulose or diatomite earth is used as filter aid in precoat filters.
Thus, the dried sludge contains only between 10 and 30% rest humidity.
It can be evacuated easily together with the rest of the industrial waste.

Suspensions, solutions, difficult pastes or solid filter cakes can be homogenised, dried and converted into powders with suspension and paste dryers.
The feed injected through nozzles dries on the inert particles of the fluidised bed. In the process, the solid material in the liquid is converted reliably into a very fine powder which is carried out of the dryer by the flow of drying air. It is then separated from the air in high-performance filter systems. |

The HT-24 Workstation
The HT-24 is a simple, large capacity, stand-alone, space-saving machine centred around two HT-12 Series II evaporators mounted on a small footprint trolley. It has the standard evaporator capability, remote control and data logging but gives faster processing by allowing independent operation. It is easy to use, reliable, robust and safe.
The HT-24 gives the user the option of simultaneously evaporating 2 different solvents, providing they’re not reactive. Other system features are sample integrity, rapid defrosting, and pullout sample shelves for loading/ unloading evaporators.

Vrieco-Nauta vacuum dryers were developed from the already successful conical screw mixer line. The superior mixing quality of the Vrieco-Nauta mixers is utilized to efficiently present fresh product to the heated surface area. Heat is transferred into the product through a jacketed vessel wall causing solvents or moisture residues to evaporate. The entire vessel is run under vacuum to further aid in moisture removal by lowering the saturated vapor pressure.

The ES Junior series of continuous vacuum driers are the ISVE mini-driers traditionally used by small craftsmen.
They enclose all the technology and experience developed over twenty years of research into the application of the vacuum process in the treatment of wood.
The machine, operating at low temperatures, allows the timber to lose its water content without subjecting it to thermal changes which can cause cracking and warping.
The evaporated water which remains in suspension in the container keeps the drying material surface continuously humidified, avoiding in this way the formation of small cracks which, in other drying systems is quite frequent.
The humidity level which is necessary between environment and material is constantly maintained by a condenser which precipitates the steam in suspension. |
