APV VT+
APV scraped surface heat exchangers (SSHE) consist of a jacketed cylinder with a rotating dasher holding rows of scraper blades. The product is pumped through the cylinder while the heating or cooling medium is circulated between the cylinder and the jacket. The medium can be steam, water or a refrigerant such as ammonia or freon.
Ideal for Dairy and Food applications the APV VT+ is designed to heat, sterilise and cool products containing particles up to 30 mm or products with high viscosity. The APV VT+ has a number of advantages:

The designations "REKUGAVO" and "REKULUVO" describe two highly efficient, fully welded plate heat exchangers for gaseous products, working according to the countercurrent principle. This system allows achieving very high heat recovery rates in an economically efficient manner.
The heat transfer surfaces consist of two profiled plates with a high specific capacity which are assembled into self-supporting packs. Both gases flow through the plates in countercurrent and are separated from each other without leakage. Mixing of the two gas streams and a possible transfer of pollutants is thus almost completely excluded
The REKULUVO (from German "Rekuperativer Luftvorwärmer", i.e. "Recuparative air pre-heater") is particularly suitable for pre-heating the combustion air in petrochemical plants (fired heaters) or in methanol and ammonia plants.
The REKUGAVO (from German "Rekuperativer Gasvorwärmer", i.e. "Recuperative gas pre-heater") is the perfect heat exchanger for heating up flue gas to the catalyst reaction temperature, e.g. in denitration units of refuse incinerating plants.
Depending on requirements, the recuperative heat exchanger can have single- or double-stage design. The hoods provided below and above the heat exchanger packs serve for feeding and discharging and/or for combining the individual volumetric flows from the gases connected in parallel. The hoods can be designed as required, with the products always flowing vertically between the plates, making cleaning much easier.

APV ParaWeld
The APV ParaWeld is a range of laser-welded plate pairs for refrigerant and chemical processing and a logical alternative to shell and tube and all welded pates. The pairs are particularly suitable for evaporation and condensing of refrigerants such as ammonia and Freon, as well as chemical and general process duties involving aggressive liquids that would attack conventional gaskets.
The APV ParaWeld consists of plates welded in pairs using a patented laser-welding process. Each second channel is secured by a welding, and the other channels by gaskets.

Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
Bowman Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers: are intended for heating or cooling process fluids, they are for example suitable for closed circuit cooling of electrical equipment using demineralised water and for cooling water soluble oil solutions in quenching tanks.
The shell side usually contains the process fluid and the tube side water from the town mains or a cooling tower, or an ethylene glycol solution from a chiller unit. In certain circumstances this flow arrangement can be reversed, but please consult us first.

Spiral tube heat exchangers provide high efficiency in a small profile for high pressure and severe service applications. Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers
Bowman Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers are particularly useful in bad water environments caused by pollution or from the chemicals used to counter it. They can also be used to overcome the corrosive nature of some synthetic oils and refrigerants.

The FP Series is designed for a wide variety of Industrial fluid to fluid, gas to fluid and other applications requiring exacting heat transfer performance.
Capable of 80F to 100F approach to as low as 30F approach for the larger models. Totally sealed 316L stainless steel construction, copper brazed with a high performance heat transfer surface to promote low fouling. From 1/2 to 200 gpm models, and larger sizes to 400 gpm. ALL models have MPT male pipe thread connections (up to 200 gpm) and mounting stud bolts. Rated at 450 psi working pressure, both sides. U.L. Listed, European TUV and optional ASME code construction.
The FPN utilizes 316L Stainless Steel is ideal de-ionized water, solvents and other applications. Rated at 300 psi working pressure. |

Bowman is one of the UK's largest manufacturers of swimming pool heat exchangers.
Bowman swimming pool heat exchangers are manufactured with corrosion resistant cupro-nickel tubes and bronze end covers and are therefore suitable for use with chlorine water, seawater or therapeutic and spa pools. Bowman heat exchangers will normally well outlast stainless steel ones. Our units are very easy to maintain as both the end covers and tube stack can be removed easily for cleaning, this is unique to our design.
Bowman heat exchangers can be used where the swimming pool water is heated by a boiler or by solar panels.
Units suitable for use with pools up to 145kW or 500,000 BTU/h are supplied with mounting brackets as standard. Bowman heat exchangers are also available with a thermostat pocket which enables a thermostat probe to be fitted into the end cover. This removes the need for the thermostat to be fitted into the pipework.
The heat exchanger can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
Bowman swimming pool heat exchangers can also be used to cool swimming pools in hot climates. Water from a chiller passes over the heat exchanger tubes instead of boiler water or water from a solar panel which is used when heating swimming pools. WATER-OIL HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH TUBE BUNDLE:
They consist of small diameter smooth tubes; this allows the best compromise between high thermic yield and low pressure loss. For a good exchanger practices some oil rates are indicated in the tables. Going down to the lowest rate of flow, indicated in the tables, the low oil speed causes a great loss in yield, whereas a rate of flow which is superior to the maximum indicated, causes great pressure loss and does not considerably increase the thermal yield. The yield diagrams indicate the heat quantity each exchanger can disperse according to the difference between oil and water mean temperatures. |

On the heat exchangers PICKER, connections of the fluids are carried out according to families' of exchangers :
> By tapping known as "cylindrical gases" carried out in the element and/or the lids (usually for connections until 1"1/4).
> By counter-flanges of our standard, usually delivered "full" with joints and screws and bolts (for connections welded, brazed or screwed).
With additional charge, the machining of the counter-flanges can be carried out by our care (only borings or tapping "cylindrical gases"). This option must be mentioned with the order by indicating the desired diameters. |
