Thermofoil heaters are thin, flexible heating elements consisting of an etched foil resistive element laminated between layers of flexible insulation. Since their introduction by Minco over 45 years ago, Flexible Thermofoil heaters have demonstrated significant advantages over conventional electric heaters.
Precise Heating :
Thermofoil heaters put heat where you need it. You simply apply them to the surface of the part to be heated. Their thin and Flexible profile gives close thermal coupling between the heater and heat sink. You can even specify profiled heat patterns with higher watt densities in areas where heat loss is greater.

Alper S.R.L is a leading Company in the development and production of flexible electrical resistors called PTF (Polymer Thick Film).
Thanks to the use of special conductive inks or pastes printed on polyester sheet, ALPER is in a position to produce resistors in many shapes and very reduced thicknesses (generally 0.2 mm) to suit the specifications of the end product.
The inks, that have been developed by our Company, in some particular conditions may show PTC features (Positive Temperature Coefficient); this means that they are able to limit the heat produced, with no need to apply a thermostat and with no risk of overheating.
This type of resistor offers many advantages when compared with the more traditional electrical resistors now on the market.
The particular features of PTF heaters make them so versatile that they can be employed in a wide range of applications in both the domestic and industrial sector.

PTC-Heating Technology
PTC heating elements can be advantageously used for many types of heating due to their special resistance temperature characteristics. The equipment which is normally necessary for the regulation of temperature and the securing from overheating can be done without.
The used capacity PTC have an extremely positive run of the electrical resistance depending on the temperature. Therefore also the name PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient). |

The Hotwatt Square and Rectangular Cartridge Heater is designed to distribute maximum heat within a desired area. Because they are completely enclosed, square units will furnish more usable heat for a given wattage than a comparable strip heater attached to the exterior of a mod, platen, or other equipment.
The units are inserted in a milled slot, permitting greater lengths than would be feasible with a drilled or reamed hole. Close dimensional tolerances are held to permit intimate fit for best heat transfer to surrounding medium.
Heating elements arranged just beneath outside surface for maximum heat transfer, minimum wire temperature, and faster heating.
Maximum surface temperatures up to 1200°F. Designations are etched on the sheath to preserve accurate shape.
Long, trouble free service.
Made in U.S.A.
Construction:
-Sealed end.
-Mica.
-Series 300 stainless steel sheath for non-oxidizing, stable service in cavities machined for them.
-Element wire situated in close proximity to outside surface for maximum heat transfer, minimum wire temperature, and faster heating.
-Magnesium oxide packing.
-Ceramic element support.
-Teflon insulated leads: 1/4" square.
Fiberglass insulated leads: 3/8" to 1/2" square, 1/4" x 5/8" and 1/4" x 1" rectangular. |

| Silicone heaters consist of two layers of silicone with an integrated fibreglass-mesh and heating wires laid out between the two layers. They are thermally and mechanically designed to withstand temperatures up to 200°C, without losing their shape. The silicone heater is vulcanized into a homogenous unit, ensuring the flexibility necessary to adapt to the mounting surface. |
