Explosion prevention and containment are prime considerations in all combustible mixture processing or vent line applications. Kemp manufactures a full line of flame arresters for Class C and D gases. We also have flame arresters that provide protection for Class B gases, including Hydrogen. Kemp flame arresters have rugged construction; cast iron or carbon steel housings with 316 stainless steel flame barriers. You will not find low temperature aluminum material used in any of our inline designs. Our unique flame barrier designs eliminate straight through heat conduction and prevent the flow of hot particulates through the flame arrester that may reignite flammable gases or vapors. Although our flame barrier could be subjected to flame temperatures exceeding 2000°F on the flame side of the
barrier, the protected side of the barrier remains cool, even after extended burn periods. Kemp arresters have field proven designs that offer maximum protection at minimum cost.

Flame Arrestors, Breathers, and Vent plugs
Go With the Flow
The question is always the same...
How can we get more performance from a smaller package?
When it comes to flame arrestors, A GW LISK DEVICE IS THE ANSWER.
A flame arrestor works as a device to cool a gas or vapor until it reaches a temperature below its flash point, thus extinguishing any flame which tries to pass through it. The Lisk design is unique in that it features thin metal ribbons, or elements, wound on a hub and placed in a housing which incorporates the unique features of a customer's interface. While the metal windings look nearly solid, they actually offer very little resistance to flow with the smallest pressure drop in the industry, yet contain a massive heat diffusing surface area to extinguish any sparks or flames.
The Result: The SMALLEST PACKAGE SIZE with the LOWEST PRESSURE DROP
and the HIGHEST FLOW.
The competition? They're still using sintered and wire mesh products: Big, bulky, and low flow.
You have the Key to Our Tool Box:
The experience and knowledge we at Lisk have gained over the years is channeled into every one of our products, and the flame arrestors are no exception. If you have an application, chances are we've seen it before and can be a value added partner to your design process.

Skum HotFoam (TM) - an innovative and proven fire protection solution for enclosed spaces, including tunnels, aircraft hangars & warehouses.
The HotFoam system is not only efficient and swift when it comes to combating fires in enclosed spaces, it also considerably reduces the risks of secondary damage as it has a low water content. When activated, a fine water spray fog provided by the system ensures a very fast temperature knock-down. Following this, the foam will totally flood the protected area in a matter of minutes and submerge the fire, as well as excluding the air needed for further combustion.
HotFoam technology is an excellent solution for a wide range of applications including:
- Petrochem production & storage facilities
- Machinery spaces onboard ships and oil rigs
- Process plants
- Warehouses
- Underground storage facilities
- Aircraft hangars
- Power plants
- Cable tunnels

Foam spray extinguishers (AFFF – Aqueous Film Forming Foam) are best suited for Class B flammable liquid risks where they represent a direct hazard. Foam spray extinguishers are especially suitable for Class B fires involving flammable liquids such as oils, spirits, fats and certain plastics. The blanketing effect of foam spray gives rapid knock down which smothers the flame and thus prevents re-ignition of flammable vapours by sealing the surface of the solution.

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
Assembled on a fixed part, these suction cups ensure the magnetic maintenance of the doors via a reinforcing plate. The release is obtained: by electric drive remotely cut of the supply voltage for the models with lack of tension powering for the models with emission of current manually via a pushbutton (models with lack of tension). The return to the position “maintenance” is obtained while bringing back the door in the initial position.

Hygood i3 Advantage
i3 Inert gas fire suppression systems with the 'Advantage' of constant flow technology.
i3 Advantage is an inert gas total flooding fire suppression solution designed to protect spaces enclosing high value assets and processes. i3 Advantage systems use Hygood's patented Constant Flow Technology for dramatically improved performance, and reduced protected room pressure.
What is 'Constant Flow', why is it a uniquely better solution?
i3 Advantage systems have unique valve technology which, for the first time, works to smooth out the gas discharge. We call this 'Constant Flow Technology'. The standard system has a pressure 'spike' on discharge, normal for most inert gas systems. Although these systems meet the requirements of ISO14520 and EN15004 our engineers recognised that a more even discharge could offer real benefits for installers and users alike. In this discharge the constant flow technology eliminates the pressure spike and delivers a lower pressure into the pipework system, furthermore the constant (reduced) flow into the protected enclosure, lowers the over pressurisation effect, reducing the size of the over pressurisation venting required in the enclosure.
Benefits
• Typical system cost savings of 10-20%
• Eliminates need of high pressure pipe work
• Reduced room venting requirements
• Reduces internal room turbulence on discharge
• Effective against virtually all combustible materials and flammable liquid fires
• Ideal where an environmentally acceptable agent is required
